is 4k editing possible with a 1050ti? should i just cough up for the 1070ti?

Morning all, I was wondering if for £12 is it worth going for the K version of the i7, it means having to get a Z board so overall ends up being more expensive. I plan to get an IPS 1440p 120hz G-Sync monitor, running a EVGA 1070ti. Thoughts?

Hello, I am planning on building a rig, because my current 'craptop' is barely handlin Minecraft (dont judge me). I also plan on playing other games (Rust, Fortnite, War Thunder, HOI4) I am starting with 1 1080P monitor, upgrading to 2 later down the line. My idea: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kHrQD2 Things that arent in the list: A Coolermaster MWE Bronze 550 Watt power supply. (Costs 43 Euro's) A 1TB Seagate BarraCuda (Which my old Step-Brother is gifting me, has has about 8 of em laying around) Cost: Here in the Netherlands, (where for 1 time the build is less expensive!) comes to a total of +- 1070 Euro's No need for peripherals, I already own that. Thanks for reading, And give any advice you are thinking off!

Afternoon all, I was wondering if its worth buying the 1070Ti FE directly from Nvidia for £419 or getting a third party like EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti SC GAMING, 08G-P4-5671-KR, 8GB GDDR5, ACX 3.0 & Black Edition for £465? Or getting a 1070 OC version, I intend to OC the Ti myself if its easy enough. I'm planning on gaming at 1440p 60hz, with a i5 8600k. Any suggestions would be good. Maybe getting this bundle: https://www.scan.co.uk/products/3xs-z370-overclocked-bundle-intel-core-i5-8600k-coffee-lake-asus-prime-z370-p-16gb-ddr4-be-quiet!-da?v=c Thanks

Quick one, Which out of these two is a better choice: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-Nvidia-1080-GDDR5-PCI/dp/B01J66BMXC/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1525197796&sr=1-1&keywords=GTX+1080 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B076VSXDH4/?coliid=I1S9IFRP2AGT4I&colid=1J3HYFWU6R2L9&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Heard EVGA has better cooling and customer support etc? Thoughts?

Just looking for any suggestions with my first build and also curious how to test my build quality by doing tests to make sure it all works how it should. My specs of my computer are: Processor: i7 8700k Motherboard: Asus Prime Z-370A Memory: 2x8 Corsair Dominator Platinum 2666MHz Graphics Card: Evga 1070 Ti Sc ACX3.0 CPU Cooler: Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 Hard Drive: 2TB Seagate Barricude SSD: Samsung 850 EVO PSU: ThermalTake Smart Pro RGB 650W 80+ Bronze Also, my monitor is a ASUS MG28UQ I was also wondering how to resolve screen tearing if it is possible. I know the 1070 Ti has Gsync and my monitor has AdaptiveSync but I don’t know how I can fix it or if I even can

Hey, I have a MacBook Pro 13' 2017 nTB and thinking about some eGPU for it. The case should be easy to choose - Node Pro or Mantiz Venus but stil have a problem with GPU. I'm considering Radeon 580, GTX 1070 Ti or 1080 but before I buy it need some information. I read some articles about bottlenecking because of CPU but wanted to ask one important question - How the CPU can slow down the GPU including also Thunderbolt 3.0 connection? What does it mean....I know that my MBP will be a bottleneck for 1080 but even though having a bottleneck CPU plus Thunderbolt 3.0 should I have better performance and higher FPS level at the end on 1080 comparing with 1070Ti or 580? Some quick calculation as an example. Let's assume that: Radeon 580 can give you 50FPS in whatever game. My CPU won't be the bottleneck but Thunderbolt3.0 will reduce my FPS by 10% so at the end will have 45FPS 1070Ti can give me 80FPS. My CPU will be a bottle neck (20% reduction) and Thunderbolt3.0 will reduce my FPS by 10% so at the end will have 52FPS 1080 can give me 100FPS. My CPU will be a bottle neck (30 % reduction) and Thunderbolt 3.0 will reduce my FPS by 10% so at the end will have 70FPS Don't know if my thinking is correct so that's the reason I wanted to ask you but based on that even if the performance of 1080 will be reduced by my CPU I will have more FPSs comparing to lower quality GPU like 580. Could you advise me what is the best solution and if my thinking is correct? Thanks for help

Im looking to get either 1070ti card. Is there any performance or cooling difference that should make me choose one over the other. Help would be appreciated https://www.zotac.com/product/graphics_card/zotac-geforce-gtx-1070-ti-mini

I recently updated from a 980 to a 1070Ti and from a 1080p 60hz monitor to a 1440p 165hz and every single game that i have tried except for Overwatch is maxing out my GPU (Destiny 2, House Flipper for instance). Should I have gone for a 1080 instead or is there something wrong with the card? Or should I upgrade to SLi 1070Ti's further down the line?

Alright, so i am going to list my build before i actually ask my question. Right now, brand newly built: Ryzen 7 1700 oced to 3.9 ghz on stock cooler(Stable) asus x370 prime pro mobo nzxt s340 mid tower case(white) 16 gb ddr4 ram (2400 mhz) EVGA 750w g3 psu Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 Ti GAMING 8G(pcb came warped but works fine) Evga Gtx 1070 ti sc (will return(horrible coil whine under load) and buy the same as above gfx card on depending replies) m.2 sata boot drive ssd game drive sshd data drive 144hz hp omen 24 I am getting into the content creation side of the spectrum and would like to record in 1080p 60 fps in high quality without any performance issues while i am playing Rainbow six Seige. based on my testing with sli, it only utilizes 50 percent of each gpu while in sli. if i switch it to single card mode i get a performance boost in the game. Now, heres my question. if i run the game in single card mode, and i start to record using the second gpu, will i see my in game performance decrease? is having 2 gtx 1070 tis in my system worth it for recording and playing games at 1080p without a performance hit?

Looking for new GPU and was wondering if a 1070 ti oc preform almost like a 1080? I am leaning towards the Zotac cards, but is it 1080 worth it? The clock rates seem to just be off by a hair. Also if you have a better card to recommend please do thanks. https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16814126109 https://www.amazon.ca/GeForce-Graphic-DisplayPort-Dual-Link-ZT-P10800H-10P/dp/B01GCAVRSU/ref=sr_1_5?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1527309117&sr=1-5&keywords=gtx%2B1080&th=1 https://www.amazon.ca/MSI-GTX-1070-TI-TITANIUM/dp/B076Q62TDF?th=1 https://www.amazon.ca/Graphics-IceStorm-Backplate-PowerBoost-ZT-P10710C-10P/dp/B076S6VXGB/ref=wl_mb_wl_huc_mrai_1_dp?ie=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B076SBNZ68&pd_rd_r=80KTBQKQTJHE7S2DWJ8J&pd_rd_w=gBcDN&pd_rd_wg=o879v&th=1

Hi All, I'm very new to PC builds and I know my way around the build a bit but need help with an issue I'm having. I'm Animator/Designer and switched from Mac about a year ago for the expandability, power and price-point PCs offered. I bought a gaming PC from Micro Center and recently purchased a 1070 TI with the intention of running that with my current 1070 for 3D rendering in Octane. When I had my buddy help my install the 1070 ti along with a new PSU, Thermaltake 1250w, the PSU fried when we tried to boot. Returned that PSU, tried again and had the exact same issue. What am I doing wrong? haha. I'm about to move everything into a new Corsair 460x and wanted to figure out my issue so I don't blow another PSU lol. My PC specs: Motherboard: ASRock z170 gaming K6, CPU: Intel i7-6700k New PSU: EVGA 1000 G+ GPUs: Zoltac 1070 & Gigabyte 1070 TI Memory: 4x8gb

So my 3770k is now 5 year old, and going strong on 4,4gHz. But yet it's time to upgrade. So I ordered 8700k, Asus TUF Z370plus Gaming, 2x WD black 512gb M2 PCIe SSD, Barracuda PRO 10tb, HyperX Fury 32gb, and a 1070Ti Rog strix. Will also keep my WD red 4tb. I have a Corsair RM 850w and a 550w, Will I need all the 850w? Or should I give the 850 to my kid with the 3770k and a R290? As the Fractal Define R6 is not completely white, I will keep my R5. But I also want a Corsair Carbide Air 540 in white, but not in stock. And I guess my H100i will cool the cpu just fine. Or should I upgrade to newer?

So, in a few hours I'm going to go out and take all the parts. I would really like some opinions on this. I'm planning this build to get the i7-8700k on 4,5 GHz and used it for pretty much a very big variety of stuff. CPU : Intel core i7-8700k Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Gaming 7 GPU: 2X Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8GB , in SLI RAM: 4X Corsair Dominator Platinum 8GB 2666 MHz PSU: Corsair HX Series HX1000 Storage: 2 M.2 Samsung 960 Evo NVMe // 4 3TB HDD in RAID 10 gpu's and cpu will be on costume watercooling loop. The only thing I'm worried about is the powerload. I will get the second 1070ti and make the cooling system in 3 weeks and I want to be sure that I'm making the right choice about the power. Would you change something? Thanks a lot! have a nice day!

I can't get my graphics cards to run at x16 it will only run at x8. I recently upgraded from 2 r9 280's to a gtx 1070 ti. It works and is running but in GPU-Z it the bus interface reads (PCIe x16 3.0 @ x8 1.1) and my understanding is that means the card supports running x16 PCIe 3.0 lanes but is running at x8, I don't know what the 1.1 means though. I have a MSI x99 gaming 7 motherboard with a i-7 5820k. The 5820k has 28PCIe lanes and the card is in slot e1 which is the only slot that can run x16 with a 5820k. I don't see anything in bios that lets me change the lanes for that slot (though I might just be missing it), I know that slot would have been running at x8 when I was using the r9 280's in crossfire, does anyone know if you have to change some setting to get it to run x16 or is that supposed to be done automatically? all the other slots on the board are empty except the m.2 (but that has a maximum of x4) and a SSD sata so I should have PCIe lanes to spare. I do have 6 usb external hard drives plugged in but those shouldn't be taking up PCIe lanes so I don't know what gives? I am still running windows 7 pro... but that shouldn't be the problem I don't think. Any help or insights would be greatly apperciated

Hey, im currently a happy owner of my new computer build (also my first one) ive choosen the zotac 1070ti amp extreme graphicscard . after installing everything and using it for a few days im slightly annoyed by the noise. since you cant set the fans under 40% in idle with custom fan curves. so im considering sending that gpu back and getting a different 1070ti or even a 1080. do you guys have any suggestions? i dont really want a graphics card thats already colored in some way since i like changing around the few leds in my case im mot even sure if im just overreacting but i just dont really want my gpu to be that noisy while in idle.
