I have an Asus laptop with a 1050 and I'va noticed that on other people's laptops the gpu runs at a slightly higher clock (~65Mhz) although mine stays cooler. My brother's Dell with the same specs for example scores higher in benchmarks and also behaves better in COD Warzone. I figure it has to do with the vbios and was wondering if I can extract the one on his laptop and flash it on mine since I don't seem to find vbioses for 4gb 1050s. How can I do that? And how do I restore my version if I don't like the new one?

I recently upgraded from my Asus GTX 1050 2gb to a Gigabyte RX 590 8gb. Seeing as I no longer needed my old card, I gave it to a close friend of mine who still runs older hardware (an i3 and 8gb DDR3 RAM if I remember correctly) The problem is that he already has an RX 560 6gb and we want to know if it's at all possible to run them in tandem with each other. Could that work with modified drivers? Or would he be better off sticking with just one card? If that's the case, which should he go with?

laptops WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR after laptop teardown
BangTheWall posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Hey! So yesterday I opened up a laptop (Lenovo Ideapad 330S-15IKB with a GTX 1050) to fix an issue with it's keyboard. While fixing the keyboard I also replaced the thermal paste on the CPU and the GPU just because I had to clean it up anyway. Now today when the laptop was used for gaming, it started getting the BSOD with the error "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR", since it's a hardware issue I started testing the hardware one by one until I started getting the BSOD again when the GPU was under load with FurMark. The error also didn't generate any dump files. Running FurMark, the temps reach around 87C before the fans go 100%, after which it falls back to 82C-84C. The BSOD usually comes when the temps are falling from the high point after the fans go to 100%. Another thing I have noticed after the keyboard fix is that the laptop has started making a clicking sound randomly. Not sure where it's coming from, but I know it's not a HDD (system only has SSD's) nor is it the fans (They are running fine with nothing in the way). I have tried the following. Taking apart the laptop and assembling it again. (Once after I reseated the power connector to the motherboard the BSOD took a lot longer to appear than usually) Repasting everything multiple times Driver updates I am running out of ideas on what to do. Does anybody have any experience or any ideas of what to do? Luckily the keyboard works fine now Files SysnativeFileCollector Perfmon -
Good day folks, I'll be direct. 3 days ago my Nvidia GTX 1050 stopped working. I use 3 monitors through HDMI, and VGA cables with a thunderbolt adapter. When I turned on the computer that morning I got the warning sign in the driver of my graphic card with the error 43. I've tried many things and still I can't make it work. Important things: . Lenovo Legion Y530, I5-8300H. 8GB ram with optane memory. 1TB HDD. . I don't usually game on this computer and the temperature is normally around 45 celcius. . I'm currently using Windows 2020-03 1909 version. . I never had a physical accident on my laptop, and there is totally cleand from the inside. What I've tried in general? . Uninstall drivers . Reinstall drivers from Lenovo and Nvidia, newer and older versions. . Update BIOS . Re-install windows from scratch.(I made the windows updates right away) . Check the inside of my laptop and no visible damages nor dust. . I installed Parrot OS on a dual boot and it recognize when I connect the HDMI or the Thunderbold cord but nothing shows up in the screen. What I have not tried but I'm curious about: . Install windows 7 or 8. ************************************************************* Any idea guys? I see a lot of people with the same problem and I just wanna know if is a physical issue caused by Windows or maybe just a software update? Please and thank you!

Should I upgrade my CPU (2700x) if I am planning on upgrading my Graphics card to a 5700xt? What about the 3070? If I need to upgrade for either, would the 3700x be sufficient? or if there a bottleneck somewhere else? Thx - FireEagle Current System: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MGYkXb

I'll take any of the following low-profile and low-power (as in, does not require 6-pin power) cards. GTX 1650 GTX 1050 ti GTX 1050 GTX 950 RX 560/560X (if it is compatible, which I'm not sure of)

So i just want a clear answer which among the two gives more fps when it comes to overall gaming performance. Since the rx560 x (its not the same as rx560 its different) has new driver, the performance has improve. I've done a lot of research but i didn't still found a decent benchmark so now im confused. 1050 3gb has higher clock speed, while rx560 x has higher cuda cores, memory bandwith and etc. So can you please explain why which one give more fps in overall gaming.

So i did some research about this gpu, but some say rx560x is faster, some say 1050 3gb is faster, so now im confused, which gpu gives more fps??? The laptop are asus tuf505, they both have the same price and the same specs except for gpu

Hello Everyone, I am planning to buy either a gtx 1050 (non-ti) with new ram OR an AMD A8 7600 APU, ASUS A68HMK motherboard and new ram. Can you help me choose? My current system specs are : Intel i3 540 Intel DH55TC motherboard 4GB RAM 450w Zebronics Power supply Should I buy the GTX 1050 (I know it will be bottlenecked) or the AMD A8 7600 APU. I really want to play games and I am looking for an upgrade. If I buy the A8 7600, I'll have to spend around 220$ and If i buy the gtx 1050, I'll have to spend around 140$. I will not be able to upgrade till at least 1 year as I am on a tight budget. Thanks in advance, Tarun

So I was thinking of buying a budget gaming laptop (dell inspiron 15 7567), but one big thing got stuck in my mind: Wich is better gtx 1050 with 4gb of VRAM and faster clock speed or gtx 1050 ti with 4gb VRAM and slower clock speed.

I'm looking for a good budget gaming laptop for around $1100 dollars. i have been using an old acer aspire which has a i5 6500u and radeon m265 2gb graphics for four years now and finally have some cash to upgrade to something new. i also intend to do photo editing on this device so i'm looking for a machine with the latest kabylake i7 7700hq with 16GB RAM. I currently have my eye on the ASUS ROG STRIX GL553VD which fits my budget perfectly but there are certain reviews that say its better to wait for other laptops to be released. Are there any laptops in the market that anyone recommends? or is the GL553VD worth buying? or is it better to wait? Thnx.

So yeah, that. I'm building my first "gaming" PC and on the few pages I can get the stuff the RX 460 WF OC and the GTX 1050 mini are about the same price. So wich one do you recommend. After upgrading an old q6600 pc with a 1050, it fails to display anything and the debug code so 06. In the manual, the code 06 is described as "reserved" and when I look at other code charts it says it has something to do with the graphics. I tested it again with the old card in it and it displayed the same code. I tested both cards on another PC and they both worked. Anything is welcomed. Thanks

My cpu is amd phenom ii quad core 2.3ghz 8 gb of bilistix ram and asus ae3 motherboard my old gpu is a xfx radeon hd 5750

Im one of the unlucky ones who bought the G4400 instead of the G4560... that being said, what GPU shoud i get? Gtx 1050ti are 130-140$ in my area and gtx 1050 is 115$ but i managed to find a Brand New 1050 for only 90$ ! The guy said he won for free on an office giveaway... SO, should i grab that 1050, or 1050ti will give alot more performance? G4400 8gb H110M C3D 1440x900 Display

Anyone have or know of a list of upcoming 1050 equipped laptops?

Is a g4560 and GTX 1050 TI (https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/hb7rwV )enough to run modern games at medium 1080p 45-60fps or 60fps low settings 720p. 400 is essentially my limit, so if the 1050 is enough I'd drop down to that. Are there better options around/under 400

Hi! I need to buy a new laptop and have been looking at the FHD model of the new Dell XPS 15 and the Razer blade because they meet my requirements of being portable, good battery, enough performance and professional looking (for business meetings). I will mostly use the laptop for regular use (browsing, watching movies, etc.) and sometime game for 2-3h (Cs go, Dota 2, H1Z1) both on the move and at home. I will also use the laptop for work with clients so it needs to look professional. I will not do any coding, music or video production. I won't have a desktop computer (need to sell it because I have no space for it, blame my girlfriend.. ) Between these 2 I know that they both have thermal problems and that there are better options if you consider performance or bang for buck. It's a trade of for being very portable which for me is worth it. I think I might go for the Dell XPS 15. Here is my reasoning. + Dell has a bigger screen with the same form factor as the razer blade (almost) + Dell has better battery + Dell has better support and the availability of the xps 15 in europe is much better. + Dell has upgradable ram, Razer don't. However it doesn't really matter because 16 GB is more than enough for me. - The Blade will be more powerfull with the 1060 instead of Dells 1050. I think the 1050 will be powerfull enough for the games I play (CS GO, Dota 2, H1Z1) ? - The Blade have thunderbolt with PCIe x4 instead of the x2 in the Dell. It will only matter if I use a eGPU and the internal display? If I use a eGPU in the future it will be with a external monitor anyways. - Slow responstime (ghosting) on the Dell. Hope that is better than the old model. Am I wrong? Should I pick the razer blade instead? Are there any upcoming laptop that I should look at instead? Any blade owners who want to change my mind?

Hello! I was wondering if anyone in the community would be willing to help me decide on a new laptop. I'm torn between if it's worth the extra $400 for a 17" laptop with a 1060 over a 1050Ti. I would love the new MSI Stealth Pro with 1060 because of it's size and good performance, but frankly, is the 1060 needed? I'm only gonna be playing at 1080p (obviously) so would something like the new Dell or Acer computers with their 1050/Ti's be better if I could save the $4-500 for a better Ryzen computer? I play games and stream them to my custom RMTP server so I would still like to manage a 720/60 stream while still maintaining a decent frame rate and graphic fidelity. Many thanks, J

Hello everyone,I was thinking about buying a new graphics card for running adobe after smoothly. so which graphics card will be better for fast preview and rendering? gaming is not my priority.

So i really wanted to know which 1050 ti is best for the price and best for the performance, right now i'm stuck between the MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB (https://pcpartpicker.com/product/x7s8TW/msi-geforce-gtx-1050-ti-4gb-video-card-gtx-1050-ti-4gt-oc) and the Zotac GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB OC (https://pcpartpicker.com/product/LrmxFT/zotac-geforce-gtx-1050-ti-4gb-oc-edition-video-card-zt-p10510b-10l) , if anyone wants to tell me which is better or one that is superior in price and/or performance to these, please let me know and link the page to the card.

So I am looking to buy a laptop to use for mild gaming and heavy 3d modeling. I dont care too much about I/O options. I want to choose from one of the following configurations: GTX 1050 ti ----- i7-7700hq ----- ~$1000 GTX 1060 ------ i5 6300hq ----- ~$1000 or possibly GTX 1060 ----- i7 7700hq ----- ~$1150 I am not sure if the extra $150 is worth it for both the upgraded CPU and GPU. I am looking to get around 4-5 years out of this laptop and I do not want to spend more than 1150 on it. Which configuration is the most suitable for my needs? Any input is appreciated, and if you have any specific laptop recomendations I would be intested. Thanks! (I have been looking at the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 gaming, and the Asus FX502VMs)
