  1. Thanks for the help buddy! Will be sure to give them a ring, any idea where I can get Display Fusion for cheap and have it work on windows 8? Just a quick question :3
  2. on the Asus website, it says it's windows 8 compatible, as if it doesn't work with Ultra Fast Boot, you think I could give them a ring?
  3. Surely there is a fix? Why wouldn't a GTX 680 support it, is there anything I can do about this?
  4. windows 7 I averaged 30 seconds, it hasn't changed at all :c and I'm really bummed out about it. Any help?
  5. put it to 1 put it to 50 nothing makes a difference. I already said that I tried in OP
  6. So I just upgraded windows 8 solely for the Ultra Fast Boot feature (dw friend bought it for me as early bday present) and now it isn't letting me use it, when I try and use the Ultra Fast Boot feature it says The VBIOS of your discrete VGA card does not support UEFI GOP, so it can not support "Ultra Fast Boot" and "CSM Diable" I was so keen on using this feature, because my stupid splash screen takes 15 seconds (taking whole boot time to 30 seconds give or take, I know it's fast, but my friend has the same SSD and same Mobo and boots in 15 seconds flat, already tried making the splash screen timer shorter, but it didn't have any effect) If you can help me that'd be great, I'm really gutted it doesn't work :c
  7. an Optical drive and an SSD do two different things. I'm still so confused ._.
  8. SSD than an optical drive? I'm confused now
  9. I trust corsair, I know minimal about their history, I haven't been in building computers for very long or when I did begin, corsair didn't have the problem of these caps (late 2012). So history of corsair, I know close to nothing :c
  10. I know minimal about those caps, hence why I'm asking which PSU to choose...
  11. Yes SLI, however I'm willing to buy another PSU of 800W+, if the 650W will be the quietest out of all those 3 I mentioned.
  12. Awesome thanks so much dude! Also like the other guy asked, what's a silent cap?
  13. Would you personally use this PSU in a rig you were building (theoretically)?
  14. forgot to mention in OP Justifying your answer is a good thing to consider also.
  15. I hear some bad stuff about the RM650 though :c so I really don't know, but if you think it will be fine, I would be more than happy, to use, but I really don't want to fry my rig because of it.
  16. So I'm looking for a really quiet PSU that is also fully modular to push this rig http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/DZBPgs and I'm stuck between these 3 1: http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=350 2: http://www.corsair.com/en-ca/rm-series-rm650-80-plus-gold-certified-power-supply 3: http://silverstonetek.com/product.php?area=en&pid=239 Basically I'm looking out of these 3 the most silent one. If you are going to suggest a different PSU please make sure it is located in Australian Stores, is Fully Modular and is as quiet as can be Thanks in advanced! EDIT: PLEASE JUSTIFY YOUR ANSWER ALSO Edit: Disregard the PSU already in the PCpartpicker build, just there for a price estimation
  17. The fans weren't really chosen with Airflow in mind (however they will provide plenty of it) morely because of silence. My room is almost always cold for an unusual reason (not sure actually) My doesn't get above 55C under load I have no idea why, but it is just really cold in my room. I tried this build with watercooling brought it up to around $2400 give or take $200 so yeah it was way too high :c The power supply you linked is a bit pricey and is also only semi-modular. I will be completely sleeving my PSU, despite it being covered by the PSU cover the Enthoo Pro comes with.
  18. I will be sure to be upgrading the PSU to an 850W for sure, not doubt, just at the moment due to budget can't really put an 800W+ PSU in there if I were going to get a new PSU though, it would have to be fully modular, and needs to make close to no noise.
  19. Can't wait, going to be painting the Asus DCUII with blue accents. and might have to cover the 2 green leds on it with some black electrical tape #Ghetto thanks bud!
  20. 780 Ti is mid to high $800, a GTX 780 is Mid to high $700 an R9 290 is Mid to high $500 but only about 5-7 fps behind the GTX 780 sometimes even beating it and yes I am planning to do SLI maybe in about 6-18 months after I build the rig. I chose the R9 290 because the difference of 7-15fps doesn't justify almost $200 for a 780 let alone almost $300 for a 780 Ti.
  21. PCPartPicker part list: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/vyTH8d Price breakdown by merchant: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/vyTH8d/by_merchant/ Benchmarks: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/vyTH8d/benchmarks/ CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X60 98.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($148.00 @ CPL Online) Motherboard: ASRock Z97 EXTREME4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($197.00 @ CPL Online) Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($99.00 @ CPL Online) Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($99.00 @ PCCaseGear) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($68.00 @ CPL Online) Video Card: Asus Radeon R9 290 4GB DirectCU II Video Card ($545.00 @ CPL Online) Power Supply: SeaSonic 660W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($219.00 @ CPL Online) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($115.00 @ CPL Online) Case Fan: Cooler Master R4-S4S-10AK-GP 60.9 CFM 140mm Fan ($13.00 @ CPL Online) Case Fan: Cooler Master R4-S4S-10AK-GP 60.9 CFM 140mm Fan ($13.00 @ CPL Online) Case Fan: Cooler Master R4-S4S-10AK-GP 60.9 CFM 140mm Fan ($13.00 @ CPL Online) Case Fan: Noctua NF-A14 FLX 68.0 CFM 140mm Fan ($28.00 @ PCCaseGear) Case Fan: Noctua NF-A14 FLX 68.0 CFM 140mm Fan ($28.00 @ PCCaseGear) Other: Phanteks Enthoo Pro Chassis Black ($115.00) Other: i5 4690K ($300.00) Other: Sleeved cable extensions from BitFenix ($18.00) Total: $2018.00 This is what I have in mind, so basically I've been planning it for a while, I already have a monitor, going to be getting the either Ducky Shine 3 or Corsair RGB, and a Logitech G502. I'm a silence freak hence the fans, (regardless I will run the fans on the lowest speed no matter what time of day, withing reason though) Note: Price for i5 4690k is estimated Aud price IMO and I will be going for the NZXT X61 Kraken when available. If you are going to be making any changes please make sure it doesn't hinder the amount of noise this rig will make (I'm a silence freak, dead silence is what I wish to achieve) thanks and I am open to suggestions much love <3 I will be sleeving my cables with blue paracord.
  22. Beeg.com has better speeds, highly recommend, once you go beeg you never go back.
  23. I try and push myself, to upgrade my GPU every 18 months (if need be though) Umm Amd Lover on the forum just bought a used 780 Lightning (not sure about the price) but it doesn't work right :c I myself would never by second hand products (unless it is from a trusted source) but I did hear a while ago that maxwell (800 series) may be coming out Q1-Q2 next year, so it is a bit of a wait :c I'm pretty confident your 2 780's are fine, I'm pretty interested to see the type of performance the 800 series is going to be displaying!
