  1. Update: I've now tried a few more things without any success, but some things might help with troubleshooting: Using a multimeter, I measured the voltages on several pins and components. There is a voltage at the CPU connector, all the pins for the 24-pin connector have voltage, EXCEPT the -5V pin, where there is 0V. Is it supposed to be like that? The capacitors close to the CPU have no voltage over them. The other capacitors on the motherboard do have voltage. USB with direct BIOS update file (as described in the manual) in every port without success. The BIOS chip is removable, I powered on the motherboard without the Chip, and the behaviour is exactly the same. Could this mean the BIOS is corrupted and I only need to flash the correct BIOS onto the chip? If anyone has any advice I would be very grateful.
  2. I don't think so, I ran it outside of the case and there was nothing under it except for a paper bag to cushion it against the floor.
  3. Hi! (You'll have to excuse me if the same issue has already been answered but i couldn't find such a thread) I have a Asus Z97-Pro Gamer motherboard that I can't seem to get to work. I've tried running it outside the case with only a monitor connected. The motherboard has Q LED indicators for troubleshooting RAM, CPU, VGA, and boot devices. None of these are lighting up. The only signs of life I have are that the southbridge power LED comes on when I turn on the power supply, and the CPU cooler fan starts spinning when I power it on (bridging pins on mobo). Here's what I've tried: RAM: Different RAM sticks from 3 different manufacturers with capacities of 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB, one of which is on the supported vendors list. All RAM slots (one at a time). Multiple sticks at once. Different processors (4460 and 4690k). With and without GPU (Gtx 960). Clearing CMOS both with the jumper and by removing the battery. I know that the PSU (EVGA 650 G2), all RAM sticks, processors, and the graphics card I tested with are functioning. When I connect a keyboard and mouse, they don't light up (regardless of the USB port). I've also checked for bent pins, but the CPU socket looks fine. I also touched the processor and after powering it on, and it did not heat up at all. Have I missed something obvious, or does anyone have any tips on what might be wrong? Best regards, Adrian
  4. Im rocking the first generation of the HyperX Cloud, a Corsair K30 keyboard and a Steelseries Rival 300 on a Steelseries QcK mousepad. I also have a Logitech Z523 2.1 sound system.
  5. I currently have an Amd HD7970 in my rig. An upgrade would be great because of the power efficiency of the polaris cards. I am currently limited because of the power draw and can't play as much as i want.
