  1. sorry for bumping this thread up. so, i was messing with refresh rate in nvidia control panel, long story short, i had to do a clean install of my nvidia driver. after the clean install, the idle and browsing temps are not at 50s c anymore, now at 40s c just like before. i think for some reason nvidia driver doing something that raise the idle temp in the background after some unknown time after installation. hope this can help other people if there's anyone experiencing the same problem as mine, thanks
  2. i always use my laptop plugged in, usually when not plugged it's around 35-39 if i'm remember correclt (and before the idle raise to 50). my power options always balanced too, also already check task manager and nothing suspicious, already reset bios too. i guess i'll just do another clean install in a few days, and if the idle temp raise come again, i'll just gonna live with it. thanks for replying btw i see, the temps while on load isn't affected as far as i can see, it's ok then. thanks for replying!
  3. i'd be happy if thats the case. but after clean install, the temps goes down to 40s c again. i also check task manager if there's any suspicious running in the background, but can't find anything. also if it's ambient temp and dust problem, i think it'll affect the gaming temps too, while in this case only the idle temps hotter than before, gaming temps still same, no change. thanks for replying tho
  4. My Laptop is HP Pavilion Gaming 15 I7 9750h GTX 1660ti Max-Q The first time i noticed this was around a week before May 7th. The laptop idling at 50c both CPU and GPU, and around 53-58c on the CPU while browsing and watching youtube using chrome. i thought it was the thermal paste, so i repasted it and the temps still the same. On May 7th, idk why but i do a clean install of Windows 10 1903 (previously 1909), and surprisingly it now idling at 38-40 both CPU and GPU, and 43-50 while browsing and watching youtube using chrome. It stay like that until May 23rd, on the morning after turning the laptop on, i noticed that the idle temps is at 50c again. and another thing, the temp while gaming are the same (around 80s at the CPU), only the idle temp is kinda hotter. Can anyone tell me what is happening here? thank you!
  5. holy shit that was quick! thanks a lot man!!!!
  6. so i suddenly remember random shit from years ago. i remember watching an ad on tv about a diecast toy car, i think it's hot wheel, but i'm not sure because i've done some searching and can't find it. the toy is a diecast car with a small tank on it's back, and we fill the tank with some liquid or something and the car propel itself forward(? i'm not sure about this, but that's what i remember). the ad air around 2002-2006 if i remember correctly (at least in indonesia where i live, but it should air on other country too because it was some white kid with indonesian dub over it just like any other toy ad). can anyone tell me what this toy is, it's bugging me for some times now, thanks!
  7. i move around often and always bring some stuff with me, a cooling pad would take too much space in my bag, thanks for replying tho
  8. the laptop is HP Pavilion Gaming 15 with i7 9750h and GTX 1660ti Max-Q. this is my first time undervolting, at first i tried using Intel XTU, the best i can get is -0.155, anything more than that, the laptop shut itself down eveytime i end the stress test. today i tried with Throttlestop and Aida64 Here's the stock, i didn't test it too long because the result isn't that good anyway.. and here's with -0.250 on the core and -0.155 on the cache is this good enough? am i doing something wrong? thanks!
  9. so my current hard drive is failing, it's a 1TB 7200rpm Toshiba driver. currently still saving money for a new one, i check on my nearest local store, they have 1TB Seagate Barracuda/Desktop and 1TB PC P300 Toshiba. i was thinking to get the seagate one because last week i read somewhere on the internet that it's a good drive, but today i watch a video that say it's not a reliable drive. so, which one should i get? thank you
  10. thank you, very nice. kinda thight on money right now, i hope my drive hold up until i have enough money, lol thanks for replying
  11. so, yesterday suddenly my hard drive got really slow, Shadow of Mordor loading take forever, literally, Monster Hunter World kinda take forever too to load, then i try to copy some of my files to a thumb drive, it also take forever, so i just cancel it instead. I search about slow drives on internet and read about crystaldiskinfo, here's the result then i tried to replug the sata cable, after that my pc works fine, so i thought it was ok. but today when i play Shadow of Mordor, new game, the first cutscene is really laggy, it takes like almost 10 minutes to finish the cutscene, Monster Hunter World also slow when loading the quest, i check my drive usage when loading both games and copying file in task manager, the usage is always 100% and transfer rate spike like crazy, and often stays at 0kbps for both read and write speed with 100% usage. is my drive about to die? thanks
  12. thanks for replying. i tried running task manager, then unity but with high setting. weird, this time the game didn't crash at all, it runs fine. and i check the memory usage maxed at 80%. i also think about driver problem because yesterday morning i update my driver. but last night i uninstall the driver and install the old driver again, after that i tried and still crash. but at least the game is not crashing now. thank you
  13. so yesterday i try playing Assassin's Creed Unity and Call of Duty Advanced Warfare on my old pc. Both game on 720p, Unity all on medium and low except for the textures on high, and Call of Duty all settings on high. when i play with those settings, at first it runs normally, like 1/2 minutes i got black screen then kicked out to desktop without any error message. but when i play both games on lowest setting, i don't have any problem. is that problem because i only have 4GB of memory? thank you and here the hardware - i3 4130 - Asrock B95M-DGS - 4GB Memory - RX 460 4GB OC
  14. i just repaste it today, and clean the cooler too. maybe it's that hot because the enviroment i living in, kinda warm here, i'll start saving up money for a cooler
