Cloud92's Achievements

  1. I have a 240hz Odyssey G7 and I can BARELY tell the difference, once it goes above 144 it's just almost impossible to tell while actually playing. I can only SORT OF tell the difference if I put the 144hz display next to the 240, in the real world there's no difference at all, plus you're being unrealistic if you think you can sustain the 240 mark in anything other than e sports titles, I mean sure, in games like CS GO you can sort of tell which display is better but that's about it. And it's even worse when you move up even further, diminishing returns like crazy
  2. Should've given more details, like, pc worked fine and now it started doing this, it does it only in warzone and no other games and so on. If I were to take a shot in the dark I'd say power delivery/psu if it does it in every game.
  3. I have to say that the card is a massive disappointment.. I was hoping for at least 8GBs of vram and at least the same performance if not better than a 980TI
  4. Just get a i5 and try to aim for a 4.5ghz OC if you really do want to be on the safe side. I doubt that you'll find a game where the 8320 with two 970 won't perform great,it's not bad,it's just not AS good as intel. It's a little fps slower, which you won't even feel since it will hit 60+ fps on every single game without a sweat.
  5. I have the 8320. And I overclocked it up to 4.7 (on a combination of multiplier and fsb since multiplier only seems unstable) but I like to keep it at 4.4ghz(only multiplier) stock voltage 1.320 . So far in well over a year since I bought it has NEVER let me down,it worked perfectly on every single game so far, even on the very CPU intensive games,it does not bottleneck whatsoever. I love it and I'd never look back. It's the best price/performance chip right now if you want to have a PC that you can game on,render, stream. It's good in all the areas.
  6. Power surge from a lightning about 6-7 years ago,or more, can't tell, burned the gpu,1 ram stick, motherboard and PSU,CPU and hard drives did not die. I was young and dumb and tried to clean the PC with a vacuum cleaner, the PC was also on the carpet, motherboard died taking the GPU with it and that was it. And during the years about 2 other no name PSUs. That old Intel pentium 4 3.0ghz still works to this day,so does the 200gb maxtor drive
  7. Am I the only one around here that likes big GPUs? That's mostly the reason why I got my GPU from gigabyte. I like cause it's big and doesn't feel cheap. I hate small GPUs
  8. How much do you usually charge for a nanosuit? I want two,in black. OT: I'm a gigabyte GPU fanboy, but msi seems to have the highest quality cards though :v . You should probably get the XFX though, lifetime warranty, yes,LIFETIME!
  9. If you really want to max out every single possible game and even 4k games. Yes. But I'd take two r9 290 non x and crossfire them.
  10. Yeah,I'm counting on it Don't know how a dual core performs so damn well but guess we'll have to see.
  11. Well,I'm not exactly from Canada or US either,I live in Europe,We have somewhat different and higher prices in EU,everything is about ~25% to 30% more expensive than it is in the US,I wish we had a microcenter,I'd get the whole pc for 400 $ lol. Anyway,I looked at a MSI H81M-P33 and it looks like people hit 4.5 on it and switched the 750ti for a r9 270 since it's...well it's pretty much the same pricetag.
  12. very well then,g3258 it is. And yeah we're probably going to move to mmos soon enough, archeage is just around the corner, checked everything again and some other benchmarks,it tends to run even the most demanding games maxed out at 60 fps without a problem. Looks like this is it.
  13. Well,we've been together for almost 4 years, and it took me 3 years to really get her into games, she used to hate them before she met me,and she still did to an extent* even after a year or two, haha. and yeah I was looking at a bitfenix @Opcode I know how it works, running a fx 8320 OC here, won the lottery with it,but I'm pretty sure it's going to hit 4.5 ghz, afterall,it only has two cores, what are the chances to be a horrible chip I'm still not sure if I should still go for intel or amd over here,I got impressed by how well the 3258 performs when overclocked but I'm not sure if a 750k/760k overclocked will do a better or similar job. The price is pretty much the same for each cpu+motherboard combo. any take on it?
