  1. I could totally understand you Linus when you said you gave tech to your parents and they didn't know how to use it, had tons of problems and ended up calling you every single day. I gave a Kindle Fire HD 7 to my grandma because I got it for very cheap and wanted to get her connected to the Internet. Definitely the wrong buying decision: The stock software was horrible and she didn't like really like a lot of aspects of it. So I put CyanogenMod on it 'cause I was happy with that on my phone. But I as a tech person forgot all the crashes and random Issues CM has. So she ended up calling me every day because the camera app stopped, the screen froze up completely or the thing was just stuck in a bootloop for hours. So this year, I want give her a Tablet that "just works" to solve her Problems which will make her and me a lot happier. And a Tablet that is bigger and has a good camera THAT DOESN'T JUST FREEZE UP because she loves taking pictures of her garden. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00V49LV86 You really are right. We techies forget a lot of times that sometimes, something just has to work and not be cheap and have lots of features, but ends up breaking all the time.

  3. Hey Linus an the Crew, I can really just stick to what others already said, Vessel just isn't that good yet. There is no option to watch video on lover than HD, only an option to let the site auto select or have HD always on. What if I'm on mobile and it selects HD because I have LTE? My Data Cap is going to kick in in no time. Also about the mobile experience: There's no Android app, what? Am I going to have to watch your videos in a browser? Sorry, but no. I also think the Vessel really follows form over function, the site is not exactly feature rich at this point. And the design is subjectively too dark. Plus: Did you ever think about that it's not really that great watching videos on two platforms rather than on one? That hassle itself is probably going to upset a lot of people, me included. I have created a Vessel Account, but dont think I'm going to use it if the site doesnt' get a lot better. And there has to be an app. A good one. Until that happens I'm going to stick to Youtube and watch video's of product lauches on other channels, sorry. The problem is just that other big channels are doing the same thing as you... With videos like Build logs, I don't think one week later is that hard, but still I'm a little upset right now. So, I understand your move, It's good for you because of the money, but maybe not so much for the viewers.
  4. I really like what Nvidia has managed to do with maxwell in terms of power efficiency even though its still made in the 28nm process. But if I win this graphicscard, that will probably result in me having to upgrade my CPU aswell...
  5. I'm following your Channel since I was searching for a certain Motherboard Unboxing (I honestly don't remember which) in early 2012, so almost 3 Years now. I liked the old content you made then, but I also didn't mind the transition to the Channel being your own company. Both formats before and after have something going for them, and I like that you're mixing in some old style Videos for a few weeks now. No, I'm not an active member of the Forum, but that's mostly because I'm from Germany and I can't really give recommendations on anything to for example American forum members, because pricing and product portfolio is a LOT different here. To name just one product: The GTX 760 make exactly no sense as a pruduct here in Germany, because it's only 30 Euros cheaper than the 770 and the same price as the R9 280X...Where I thank thats different in the US (or Canada for that matter) So that's that. Keep up the amazing content! And I guess: On to the next million!
  6. For me, the best things about about the G3 are definitely the fact that it has optional Wireless Charging and the super slim bezels. I also like that it's not as cheaply made as the G2 was.
