"This app is no longer available" on each startup
Koec12 replied to Koec12's topic in Troubleshooting
I don't know what I did, but the messages stopped showing. I don't know for how long it will last, but at least it has stopped now. All I did was go through my registry again to make sure I had deleted the right string. Anyways, thank you for your help -
"This app is no longer available" on each startup

Hi, I found something related to Intel WiDi under startup > Scheduled tasks and disabled this, but this did not prevent the message from showing. I also added a picture of the two different messages I got. The one on top is the one I get when I try to re-install WiDi, and the second one is the one that shows whenever I restart my PC / log out and in. -

Hi, Thank you for your quick reply. I have already tried to re-install Intel Wi-Di, but then I just get a similar message. It just says it can't run on this PC. I have also already tried running CCleaner, but it just finds normal issues (path issues, file extension..) -
Hi LTT community! This is not a serious problem, but just an annoyance I would like to get rid of. Each time I start my new Lenovo T560 up, or even just log in and out of Windows, I am greeted with the following message; This app is no longer availible Intel(R) WiDi was removed from your PC because it doesn't work on this version of Windows. Learn more* (* = Just takes me to a generic site that tells me that running it can damage my computer etc.) After I saw this message the first time I uninstalled Intel WiDi, but that didn't help. I even tried messing with Regedit (Like some other post suggested), and removed WiDi from some folder (HKEY_Users\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Compatibility Assistant\Store), but this did nothing either. I noticed that there still was an instance of Intel WiDi located somewhere in System32, but I was unable to delete this, and I am also unsure if I should. So my question is how do I get rid of this message? This happened after I updated to the Anniversary update Thanks in advance

Mom and dad are still using an old computer, so some form of tablet would be a great Christmas gift for them. Both practical and nice to have. So I just updated my computer to Windows 10, and a lot of things are getting on my nerves. One of these things are my SSD's read and write speeds. These can't be normal for a SSD, Right? This happened AFTER I installed windows 10. Am I just missing something here, or is this a known problem?

As I mentioned, I can't get into the bios. I try to boot, but all it gives me is a click and the fans spin for a second.
