  1. Thanks for the replys everyone. Looks like its time to sell some graphics cards!
  2. Hey guys! I managed to get my hands on two new GTX 970s for a VERY good price thanks to Microcenter and was wondering if it would be worth it to sell them and buy a single 980 ti. I'm gaming on a 1440p 120hz panel, so horsepower is important. My main concerns are obviously the 3.5GB of memory on the 970s as well as potential sli complications compared to the simplicity of a single card with almost twice the VRAM. I know performance is very similar between the two solutions, so do you think it would be worth the hassel of reselling the 970s for a 980 ti? Thanks in advance for you help!
  3. Congrats LMG team! Thanks for all the information, laughs, and "wasted" paychecks!
  4. My favorite thing about the G3 is the unique position of the physical buttons, allowing for those sexy bezels!
  5. I was in the same boat as you a few weeks ago. I ended up going with an ASUS DCU II GTX 780 and couldn't be happier. Pricing and availability for the 290's were all over the place and after watching Linus' water cooled 290 vs 780 comparison video, it seems like the right choice. The 290 didn't seem to have as much overclocking headroom as everyone hoped (including me) even with the thermal limitations gone. My 780 is crushing 1440p getting 90-110 fps on BF4 Ultra (no AA) with my Korean 120hz monitor <3 Best of luck!
  6. It's rock solid as far as I can tell from all the stress testing and benchmarking I've done with it. Seeing as I haven't touched the voltages and there's still thermal headroom, how much farther do you think I should push it?
  7. Hey guys, I recently bit the bullet on a GTX 780 (ASUS DCUII) and was messing around with overclocking. I've done some research and saw that most people are getting around 1100-1200mhz on the core. I decided set the power slider up to %110, put core to 1150 and put the memory at 1.625 ghz, that's before gpu boost decides to kick in. Turns out my card decides to boost up to 1300 mhz with out a care in the world, not even breaking 70 degrees Celsius. Is this an error or did I just get extremely lucky? What clocks have you guys been able to reach? Here's my firestrike results: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/1299735 And a picture of my clock settings at load: http://oi42.tinypic.com/2u59gg8.jpg
  8. Thanks for the replys guys, does anyone know how the r9 290 stacks up against a 780 in 1440p?
  9. I've got a 500 dollar budget to spend on my graphics card for gaming on a 1440p 120hz Korean monitor. what would my best option be at this price point and resolution? Should I grab a single high end card or go for crossfire? Thanks in advanced for the help!
  10. If anyone has experience with crossfire after the latest driver fixes, I would love to hear your feedback.
  11. Thanks for the input guys Does anyone have more information on crossfire performance for the 7950s?
  12. Hey forum! I need some help deciding on my next graphics card upgrade for my rig. I am currently running a single 7950 on a Korean 2560x1440 120hz PLS monitor, and while the performance is great, I would like to start taking advantage of the higher refresh rate my monitor can pump out, without lowering graphics settings. So the way I see it, I have 2 options: 1: sell my 7950 and upgrade to a better single gpu, ( r9 290 looks pretty appealing at greater than 1080p resolutions) or 2: pick up another 7950 for crossfire. Does anyone have experience with crossfire 7950s to justify the raw power against the potential issues crossfire introduces? Or would It be better to go the safer route with a single, more consistant card, and potentially have less performance. Let me know what you think I should do!

  14. kraken x60 and h100i actually are pretty even in surface area, because the h1001 uses a thicker rad
