  1. Hey LTT community, I'm having some display output issues with my 2021 Lenovo Legion 7i laptop (model 16ITHg6, i7 -11800H + RTX 3070) to a 4k 120hz monitor I recently picked up (Asus PG27U). The issue: The laptop won't output any video signal to the monitor when using a USB to Displayport hub/adapter from Cable Matters on any of the 3 USB-C/Thunderbolt ports. When connected, the monitor shows up in the Windows 11 display settings, but when trying to change the output to "duplicate", "extend", or "show only on 2", the monitor won't display anything and the settings will immediately flip back to only displaying on the laptop display. The monitor also appears in the Nvidia Control Panel in the "set up multiple displays" page, but I'm unable to do anything with it on that page. I'm unable to change the output resolution in order to see if the adapter works at a lower resolution or refresh rate. The "advanced display" settings page for the monitor states that the monitor isn't active. Troubleshooting steps taken so far: Confirmed DP adapter+cable works with another computer (Surface Pro 9) at full 4k 120hz output Confirmed Windows 11, Nvidia drivers, and BIOS are on their latest versions Confirmed the laptop can output to the monitor with no issues with the HDMI port up to the HDMI 2.0 limit of 4K 60hz with HDR Confirmed the laptop can output to the display using a USB-C to HDMI adapter up to the limit of the adapter (4K 60hz, no HDR) Based on my troubleshooting, I'm guessing the issue is some sort of configuration issue or bug with the Lenovo laptop. I've found some other similar threads mentioning Nvidia driver rollbacks, but I'm hesitant to do that to prevent any older bugs from springing up. Anyone have any ideas of what could resolve this issue and get my laptop outputting to my monitor at full 4k/120hz via USB-C to DP 1.4?

  3. Tried that, no help unfortunately, still the same result might be that my bios is corrupt as the other poster stated..
  4. It likely is that, because in the BIOS I am unable to adjust the voltages of the CPU manually either. I can turn on the dumb "ez overlock" or whatever, but I have no actual direct control of voltage or clock rates. I might just reflash the newest version of the BIOS and see if that helps..
  5. Just copied everything, after reboot still no voltage control unfortunately, nothing changed on the sliders
  6. Alright so I'm having some issues with getting my MSI r9 270 to raise it's voltages so I can get higher clocks. I went into afterburner and unlocked voltage control, and the voltage slider does then show up in the sliders, however it translucent and cannot be adjusted. Why is this happening? I attempted to install saphire's trixx software and it would crash as soon as I tried going into the "settings" tab so I figured that was a total lost cause and uninstalled it right away. Do any of you know what I can do to make it so I can actually adjust the voltages? Is it something with the bios or what? Thanks for your help!
  7. The gtx 980s truly are sweet, but I think the 970 is a little more exciting. The ability to game at 4k for $350? Sweet. Also, I wanna get a gtx 980 for free!
  8. Your guys' channel is the best! The first video I watched was your review of the cm storm quickfire mechanical keyboard and I've been subscribed ever since!
  9. My favorite thing about the z2 has gotta be the design. Talk about a sexy phone! Waterproof too! My favorite thing about Dbrand is how nice of a Linustechtips skin they make, pretty snazzy.
  10. My favorite part of the review would have to be when you showed the clip of you vacuuming your cats tail, lol. My favorite part of the phone is probably just the ergonomics of it, its as small as an s5 but has the screen size of a note 3(almost)! Awesome!
