  1. Did that case come like that? The color scheme is crazy cool
  2. What are the dimensions on this out of interest?
  3. I suspected that the case looked 3D printed and your sig confirms it That's such a creative way to make a case though, I love it! It actually looks pretty good too. Is the red thing on the back the power button as well? Also what's going on with the power supply?
  4. What's the budget? If you're looking for 1080p, I'd recommend anything BenQ make from experience (144Hz). I've had one of their 120Hz 1080p monitors for about 8 years now and it's still going strong (although there's much higher refresh rates available since then and the image quality of that TN panel hasn't aged too well). Although for my main display, I actually picked up this monitor that ended up being an LTT video a few years back:
  5. It is pretty crazy actually, you seem to have a pretty overkill machine for the resolution, not gunna lie. still, doesn't hurt to future proof for your future upgrades
  6. I'm no expert but from experience with other builds, I've seen FS2020 suffering from some stuttering with 2133MHz (could have been other things in that particular PC I was using but my money's on the RAM). Not sure about CPU/GPU utilisation though. Is it considerably worse in some games compared to others or is the difference pretty small/very similar experience across the board?
  7. I know it's been 3 years since you replied but I was looking through old forum posts I actually ended up buying this very monitor and it has not disappointed. It's an incredible monitor for the value imo.
  8. Would you say the substantially higher price tag compared to a regular desk is worth it in your experience? LOVE the wood finish though. That's always been something other desks have lacked.
  9. I just bought this beauty (I didn't build it, it's bespoke but....technically not a pre-built I guess?) BIG step up from an i7-6700K and a GTX 1080 - Games run amazingly at 1440p and my first experience with RTX (and VR since I bought a VR Headset recently). Specs in my signature
  10. It's something I've always been really fascinated by. I think because every PC I've ever owned has been a CHONK. Feel free to share any awesome SFF builds you've worked on in the past; The smaller the better! One of the coolest things about build logs for a lot of these builds to me anyway, is the difficulties faced with parts not fitting or cables being a reaaaaaally tight squeeze. Let's hear some of the challenges you faced and what you did to overcome them. I'll take this opportunity to share my by-no-means-small-form-factor machine so the thread starts off with something - I found the cable management in a larger case like this to be a bit of a pain (but I'm by no means an experienced builder, I've only built 5 PCs in my life). Let's see what's possible in the LTT community
  11. Woah, I don't play WoW myself but I'm surprised out of all the games that Blizzard made that decision for a game like WoW. I wonder how long it'll be before other developers follow suit. I've seen for people with older hardware, a lot of people have been making light suggestions to run certain games on SSDs now to avoid issues (CoD MW 2019 springs to mind as well as Star Citizen). Looks like I'll have to take the plunge and get a big fat 1TB SSD.
  12. I`ll have to have a look into which ever game that might have been that`s requiring an SSD. I`m debating if I`ll be good with just upgrading to a big old NVME SSD or if it`s worth just getting a new PC to keep up to be honest. It makes me sad having to spend all that money on SSDs but that`s gotta be the way things are going like you said. Yeah the new consoles have some CRAZY value when you consider what they`re capable of. If I had a beefier PC I probably wouldn`t bother with a console but I pre-ordered a Series X just to keep up to play 4K games with and you`re getting such good value that I just kinda had to.
  13. Hi guys, So I primarily play on PC nowadays but I`m excited for the next gen of consoles. There`s been a lot of emphasis with this coming generation on SSDs to improve load times and I wanted to ask; do you think we`ll see a shift in the PC space towards SSDs being a necessity? It`s something that has me worried at times. I`ve got a i7-6700k, 16GB RAM, GTX 1080 and I`ve been playing games at 1440p/144hz for a while now and it`s been fine, but I`m wondering at what point I may have to ditch storing all my games on Hard Disk drives and make the move to pure SSD storage. I`m starting to see games coming out that don`t give me that 1440p/144hz experience already and if games start coming out that are just gunna suck to run on a HDD, It`s cause for concern. If games are coming out on both consoles and PCs, surely more games will be optimized to run on an SSD and we may see issues running these next-gen games on HDDs? I hope I`m making sense. Would love to hear thoughts :) apologies if I may need to elaborate a bit more.
  14. Oh wow, that sounds like a really good deal! Thank you!
