  1. Yeah, Windscribe was terrible most of the time when I used it, which explains why my connection was so bad. What's bugging me though is that I didn't set it to start with Windows and there was no sign of it in the notification area. Not sure why or how it was running in the background and connecting after a few hours of using the computer.
  2. For the past week, I've had random internet slowdowns where most websites loaded slowly, the ping was high, YT videos not loading at all, and Facebook/Instagram pictures not loading. I applied some of the popular fixes for network issues (netsh commands etc) and nothing worked except resetting IPs or disabling then re-enabling the adapter. While I was testing my speed with Speedtest.net it showed me that I'm in the US (I'm not). I was really confused then I had an idea as to what's going on. I checked my IP address with whatismyipaddress.com and it also showed me that I'm in the US. I uninstalled Hotspot Shield but my YT videos were still buffering, then I uninstalled Windscribe and they worked instantly. I should've checked before uninstalling it to see if the program was running or not (I'm fairly certain its icon wasn't showing in the notification area). So yeah, I thought I should share this in case someone is having a similar issue because I was about to buy a NIC.
  3. After trying multiple solutions to no avail, I always thought it was Windows 8's fault. Today I replaced my generic mouse and keyboard with Microsoft ones, and lo and behold, the issue is gone. So, I'm posting this as a possible solution (there are other causes that require different solutions) for anyone who has a similar issue.
  4. If I won this, I'd be finally able to co-op with myself.
  5. The version mentioned in the title makes the computer invisible/inaccessible to other computers/devices on the same network. After some troubleshooting, I was unable to fix the issue, and it was solved only after removing this version and installing the one I had before (1.0.30.1259). Just thought I should share this information if anyone is having issues with this version.
  6. I just wanna say that, I bought the card and it fit without an issue.

    My first build.
  8. Perform a clean install, turn off windows update, don't install anything, use your system for a while and see if the problem persists. If nothing happens, proceed and install your drivers (one by one) and test it again. After that, install your applications and updates (one by one also), and remember to create restore points between each installation.
  9. Well, you can try my instructions, if you're feeling like formatting once more.
  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QlA3n_yWVX8 I know, I'm old.
  11. I had the same issue, but I solved it by installing Intel Graphics. Just the audio drivers alone won't do. Visit this webpage, choose your OS, click on VGA, and I guess you know what to do from there.
  12. So, what are you planning to do now? Did you do as I suggested? If so, what happened?
  13. Did you remove the LEDs, power and reset connectors?
