  1. The problem is that they are wasting performance (thermal throttling etc. on the new macbook) to make it thinner.
  2. Yeah the one I would like isn't available anywhere in europe, sadly
  3. Sadly it's almost double my budget, or am I looking at the wrong one? https://tweakers.net/reviews/3920/dell-xps-13-ultrabook-met-een-gouden-randje.html (website in dutch)
  4. Hey guys, So of course I need a laptop to go to college, but the amount of laptops available is pretty overwhelming. My budget is around 700 - 800 euros. I will be taking my desktop as well, so I don't need the most powerful thing to game on or render videos. Depending on the price, an i5 is good enough, maybe an i7 if I want to last until I leave college (+- 9 years). Storage: an ssd is preffered but of course, whatever my budget allows. Screen: as long as it's not terrible, if it can be IPS, it'd be nice of course. Size: ultrabooks are nice but can get a rather hefty price tag it seems, as long as the laptop is not too heavy. And the keyboards on laptops seem to be the same scissor switches on all of them, I don't know if any brands/laptops have noticably better ones? (I'll be using my mech when not in class though) Thanks
  5. 1. Mute russians if they start using the in-game comms to talk about everything but csgo, or if they are flaming. 2. Just in general, play deathmatch, aim maps, retakes (like that a lot), pistol round servers etc. to improve your skill. 3. Learn smokes and popflashes to take sites. 4. If you find people in your game that were friendly and about the same skill level as you, add them and maybe you even get a group you can play with more, then it's way more fun. 5. Enjoy the game.
  6. A ducky shine (3 or 4) with a wrist pad like this: http://www.amazon.com/Grifiti-Standard-Keyboards-Mechanical-Materials/dp/B004D8PYE2 I really recommend ducky, very sturdy keyboards.
  7. Limiting the fps to 30 (with Vsync set to half) fixes it, but I don't really want to play the game with input lag and 30 fps.. I heard this is a solution for people with weak cpu's, while my cpu should be perfectly fine..
  8. Every graphics setting to the lowest it could go, and no advanced settings. Basically the problem that is described here, but setting it to high changed nothing.
  9. I turned all the settings down to the lowest possible (which is recommended for a 9800GT..) and the problem is still there.. The VRAM meter is on 1gb so.. I'm getting kind of desperate, people with way worse pc's are playing it fine
  10. I just lowered the bar until it was about 75% and it's still happening, I'll try to lower it even more then
  11. Hello there, So I just got GTA 5 and I'm experiencing huge pop-in, freezing, disappearing buildings etc, like in this video: I heard these are problems that usually affect low-end pc's with dual cores and 500mb gpu memory etc.. (my specs are in my bio) I only have 2gigs of gpu memory but I tried to lower settings to not fill it up completely and also set the priority for gta on high in task manager, but with no results. Is there another fix for this? I'd be surprised if my hdd was too slow or it's something with RAM, I've got 8 gigs which should be fine.. Thanks
  12. Couldn't wait and got it by going in recovery and updating it. Easy, quick and no data lost (although I did save my photos on my computer to be sure before I did it). It's really smooth, I like it.
