  1. Okay I am assuming a HDD not SSD, you should see some usage in games but not 99%, have you played for a little bit to see if it settles down after its loaded everything in? If not have you tried defragmenting it assuming its a HDD, if not its likley that it is just a old hard drive and it could be worth grabbing a cheap upgrade if possible. Also might be worth testing it out on other games if you have any to try? Maybe others have some better advice though.
  2. Ah glad it sorted itself! If it is a new hard drive you will need to go into disk managment in the control panel settings. Search disk managment and it should come up, from there you will be able to give it a drive letter and it will be detectable by windows
  3. Okay so it's using that while you are in the game not idle on the pc?
  4. What does it say its using the 99% for? Sounds like a broken drive, is it making a lot of noise?
  5. What do you mean to get the disk drive to drop down?
  6. Have you checked that your on the right display option on your monitor? Some have multple HDMI options and if you unplugged the cable maybe you put it back in the opposite one? It is strange that you can't get any signal out of it. It might be a case of going back through and just making sure everything is properly installed and you havent knocked anything, RAM ect. rechecking all the cables and making sure you have plugged it into the right hdmi port on the monitor.
  7. This is a known issue with Nvidia drivers; "Desktop Window Manager (dwm.exe) service may report higher GPU usage on some RTX 30- series configurations [3830387] Workaround: disable Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling from the Windows Settings" I rolled back to 522.25 to fix the issue until they have fixed it.
  8. Yea sorry seems I didn't fully read your post either! Does the PC seem as if it's starting up okay, fans running and no beeps from the mobo?
  9. I know if may seem like a stupid question but as you said that you had taken out your GPU, have you plugged your display cable back into the GPU and not the MOBO?
  10. Is it happening in any other games or only with Destiny 2?
  11. Have you played other games on it and they work okay? I did a quick google and it seems that a few others have had this issue with Destiny 2, have you got an upto date version of windows and all the chipset drivers for the laptop?
  12. Whats the other specs of the PC? Have you tried multiple games or is it just one specific one that you're trying to run?
  13. I have been using the G403 for years now and it's a great mouse, only issue I've had is the scroll wheel seems to jump a bit for a short time but then stops. Not sure if this is a software issue or the mouse itself.
  14. I don't see why not, there shouldn't be any performance difference other than loading times, so just keep the ones you play the most on your NVME
  15. That's what it would cost if it was to be chargeable to you. Are you on contract with EE? Look on their website - https://business.ee.co.uk/help/accounts-and-billing/charges-for-calling-non-geographic-numbers/ Numbers starting with 03 Many organisations use 03 numbers such as 0300, 0344 or 0345 as an alternative to more expensive 084 and 087 numbers. Calls to 03 numbers will cost no more than a call to a 01 or 02 number. This means calls to 01, 02 or 03 numbers will come out of your inclusive minutes.
  16. minutes As long as you had miniutes on your plan then it won't of cost you anything.
  17. Does it happen on every game? Are you playing in fullscreen mode? Do you have more that one monitor?
  18. Are you able to go into the resource monitor and wait for it to happen to see what process its utilising your CPU to 100%?
  19. Yea in that case I would go with the 3600x also because you then have upgrade options in the future with the mobo.
  20. What are you using it for just gaming or as an all round machine? How much of a price difference? I would go with the 3600x
  21. What are your specs? Have you checked the task manager to see if anything is spiking when it stutters?
  22. Hey man good luck. Let me know if it works out and I'll make my own post seeing if I can join!
  23. Your monitor can't have any caffeine two hours before bed time! Seriously though, what monitor are you using? Edit: Sorry I read it the wrong way around, when you say the PC doesn't sleep but the monitor does. If you move the mouse does it just open straight up on the desktop?
  24. Can you link to the controller? I think that sixaxis was a Sony word but some dodgy manufactures might of put it on their packaging. Doesn't mean it does what it's supposed to though, especially if it's a cheap knock off one.
