  1. Linus, I've been watching your videos for the better part of 4 years now (wow I was 14; time flies), and you have taught me almost everything I know about computers. All of my computer advice comes from your recommendations, and I owe you a massive thanks. So thank you Linus for starting these channels, and thank you Linus Media Group employees for taking this to the next level. You guys are seriously awesome, and I hope the success continues.
  2. Ah. I just figured it out. When I plugged in my Shine 3, it turned on FilterKeys for some reason. I know I didn't turn it on, and nobody else touches my computer. So now it works, see? aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Cool my keyboard isn't broken. Wow what a useless OP.
  3. So I just bought a Ducky Shine 3, and I sem to have no repeat. Even keys that I want to double-pres, I have to wait almost a ful 2 seconds to pres it again. Just typing this is dificult. It especialy shows up in games where I have to double-pres keys al the time. In "7 Days to Die," I tried picking up several items in a row, and it didn't let me. One od thing though, is that if I pres a key in betwen the repeats, it works just fine. So typing words such as "even" wil work, whereas words like "see" wil take extra time (I had to wait a couple seconds to type that second "e"). Trust me, I am not this bad at typing, and I know there are 13 speling (now 14) erors (15) up to this point in this text, but believe me, it's the keyboard. I purposefuly left al of the erors in this text. My G510 works just fine, so it is not the computer. I have tried the functions on the keyboard itself, but they don't sem to do anything. Gosh, this is anoying. Even the backspace key has no repeat, so erasing two mistyped keys takes at least two seconds (which may not sem like a lot, but is very noticeable). 21 words this keyboard has mispeled (oh wow twice in that word, so 2 (twenty-two) or 23? Wait, would that be 24? Oh gosh I'm confused now). Please help me.
  4. ^ That But I would just build one. I find joy in just building things. But that's just me.

Man, she looks beautiful. Something of that tier definitely deserves to be shown off. I seriously think you should get a really nice side window done. Right over where the motherboard and the reservoir are, but not quite to the edge of the case, and just hiding the fans. Just about like this:

Wow. I can't wait to see this thing with all of the watercooling. Are you planning a window, or are you just going to keep the overall look of the G5 the same?
  7. Well, I was going to suggest something like this: http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=685590 But then I actually read the replies. I am actually building my own desk soon, and I have never actually been in the position of buying a desk. I personally think the only way to do something right is to do it yourself.
  8. I think if you are going for ease of use and aesthetics, then go for the corsair. If you change your mind and feel like getting the lowest temps possible, definitely go for the H220 (it also has expandability options later on).
  9. If you have a wooden case, be sure to water cool it. It could be like those sprinkler systems in buildings.
  10. ARGH. I really wanted to do something like this. Well, I just wanted to put my components in the G5 case... It really does look nice. Anyways... If you could make it look good, I'd say go with a side window after you get the cables neatly managed and a full water loop in there. I think that would look pretty nifty. I also don't think you should paint it... possibly powdercoat it if the scratches are absolutely unbearable. I'm really looking forward to how this will come out.
  11. Agreed. Alphacool NexXxoS radiators are very good, and they have 11ish FPI. I'd get both NexXxoS's (gosh that's annoying to type), and some Yate Loon low RPM fans (if trying to save money) or Scythe GT's (if going for ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE).
  12. Hello LinusTechTips Forums. Today I found out my cousin has leukemia. She just started chemotherapy earlier this afternoon. She is only 19 years old. What I am asking of everyone is simply to fold for just one more hour a day for her. If you already fold 24/7, I thank you with all my heart. If all of us fold for one more hour each day, we could get a lot more work done, and hopefully we could get some crucial information. Just the thought would help significantly. Thank you everyone.
  13. Props for wanting to get back to riding after an accident like that. I'm going to start riding in early fall when i can get enough money for a motorcycle and lots o' gear. Anyways, I do love the plexi for a motherboard cover. Keep building and keep riding.
  14. I think he should first remove the side panel from the C70, then switch the motherboard+cpu of each system. Then his AMD system would truly be AMD, and he would still have nVidia cards in an nVidia case. And he should leave the side panel off of the C70. Or maybe burn it.
