i'm interested in upgrading my GTX 970 card. it's good but i desire an upgrade. i was looking at a 1070 off craigslist between $220-$250 which is good. but i also looked into the 1660 Ti for $280. would it be best to just drop on a 1070 or dont risk and save up for that 1660 ti? i know debating is ridiculous when gaming on 1080 but any incite would definitely be beneficial. thank you guys

I Updated my system to a Ryzen (was using an FX Build) i am wondering what cooler i should try and look into or even hint towards a AIO Cooler. i have a 212 Evo but finding an upgrade kit is super hard to find or the markup is way too expensive for just a simple bracket. should i hold out for a new shipment to transfer it or should i buy a new cooler. Thanks guys i appreciate your guidance and personal experience input

it's an a320 board so settings are limited. no real way to tell it to.

Motherboard is a Gigabyte A320M-HD2 with the bios F2 (came with a F1 Rev) they have a F3 on the site but the board wont accept it
-
i had to as my FX 6300 build drive corrupted as it transferred so it's a New OS and now it seems to not crash every 30 minutes which i'm happy but i am concerned.
-
the only thing i did at first was update the bios to the latest and install the motherboard driver disc. it included a Ryzen patch on the cd

well first i would get clock watchdog timeout errors and would crash on trying to update windows. i would try watching VLC movies and it would crash instantly after a few minutes. the system would crash every 20 minutes or so. but so far right now it hasn't went belly up.

well its showing 8 logical but core temp just shows 2c/4t and i wanted to know if it was just me that's seeing this due to core temp or am i seeing it for what it is. i was getting a lot of crashes installing updates with windows. clock watchdog timeouts or just freeze consistency on the simplistic task like watching VLC

ok i've been having issues since saturday getting my computer up to just work and i was wondering if everyone's getting this. should i get a replacement chip or is it the motherboard? any insight would be appreciated.it's reading 2 core 4 threads

CPU-Z is picking up 2C/4T and it is the latest version (i have to do a full OS Install) temps on core #0 is showing but Core#2 is completely 0

i purchased a new machine to upgrade from a FX 6300. curious question. is CPU-Z misdiagnosing my core count because its showing 2C/4T and i am a bit lost on that. but really ever since i re did my computer i get crashes from the simplistic task. like watching a VLC movie. my specs are below but i would love some insight because i am about to take this back and i would hate to do so Spec: Motherboard: Gigabyte A320M-HD2 CPU: Ryzen R5 1400 Ram Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 3200 Mhz GPU: MSI GTX 970 PSU: Thermaltake 750M Gold

well the motherboard i currently have is a 2 dimm configuration. so my thoughts were buy 16 and when i purchase a new motherboard to OC, add another 16 DCM. currently, 32GB of 2133 is almost $250. i just paid $194 for my combo. the ram i found is between $112-$122
