lisianthus's Achievements

  1. I7 4820K @4.8GHz 8GB Gskill Trident X 2400MHz two R9 290's in crossfire.
  2. With Crossfire enable 2 R9 290's, i7 4820k at 4.8GHz with crossfire disabled. Just figured id test it.
  3. In my HTPC/TV gaming PC (i5 3330s, 8GB 1866MHz hyper x, GTX 750, and... a 500GB 5400RPM seagate momentous)... it'd be nice to have a boot SSD. Everyone should have an SSD so they don't have to wait forever for applications to open, it takes like 10 seconds for chrome to open on that 5400RPM drive...
  4. Our families first computer ran windows 3.1, no idea what it was or anything since that was many years ago. MY first personal computer was an HP with an 800MHz intel pentium 3 and 128MB of ram. (I still have it in my closet) The first pc i built had an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ and around 2GB of ram at first (internal graphics...)
  5. sorry about being so vague, more specifically i'm having issues with looping. the link you provided might help, though I haven't looked over it in much detail yet. What I need to do is find an ID in a list box that the user inputs in a text box with the click of a button. i'm aware of how to make the button perform an action but I don't really know how to make it find the value given. the name of the course i'm taking is called "Intro to Programming", the entire course is one day a week ((Monday)) for four hours and we are learning how to use Visual Studios 2012 ((starting as if the class knows nothing and by the end we should know enough to progress to the next class)) but it's past mid terms and I still truly don't think I understand well enough. ((seeing as I have a 70% total in that class and i'm usually around the mid 80% - low 90% range)) Also my mid term grade was 52%.
  6. defining variables, how GUI elements are linked with code, and actually coding. I understand parts of these, but not well enough to make any programs function properly. We went from putting text boxes on the form to this within 2 weeks, it went WAY to fast for me to retain much information.
  7. I don't know if i'm just slow or what, I can't seem to keep up with class at all, even with tutoring and staying after. Anyways can anyone to help me? I'M SO LOST!
  8. I noticed he also said silent, well i'm sure the HD 6990 is anything but that.
  9. True, but the over all price to performance is still fairly high. At very least you still get the performance of a single HD 6950, and that thing still performs well with todays standards. (Though in most newer games the 6990 is well above that level.) with the $40 - $50ish add on for an 80+ bronze 600W PSU I figured it to be a fairly good budget build card.
  10. I had my buddy go with an older GPU (HD 6990) for around $100 on ebay, fairly certain it kills an R9 270. though it is older tech with higher power use to performance, so whatever one would prefer.
