I have had IPS monitors but i now have TN 144p 144Hz Asus PG278QR the panel is excellent for gaming.
-
The PG278QR is what i went for I was also considering IPS over TN and wow I am glad i went with TN I have had IPS monitors before, you need to see the quality of the TN display in this monitor, and no quality issues works perfectly.

Asus ROG Swift PG279QR

I have just got my hands on a new Asus ROG Swift PG279QR which is new this year its 1440p 165hz 1ms g-sync its a TN panel which is a change from the older PG279Q which is IPS, but people complained about poor blacks and light bleed problems? I got it a few days ago and its bloody good, no problems with quality. only problem is the price £550.00! Is anybody else using this yet?
