  2. I like GFE, game streaming to shield devices, and the 0db mode on strix cards

Take out Windows, that's about 400 bucks
  4. Boy Intel hit a gold mine with the G3258..I'm playing games on a 660 at 1080p and I'm pretty satisfied. I have all kinds of games from indie to AAA like GTA V. I can turn settings up pretty high on newer games, max the old ones, and keep a good frame rate
  5. New rig, I'd throw the old one out or repurpose it
  6. I have, that screenshot was the second attempt after a cold boot
  7. So I want to back up all my games to an ext drive, and I'm using Steam's built in backup tool. Problem is, it's stuck and won't continue backing up my games. Windows Explorer confirms this as the ext HDD isn't filling up, it's staying put in space used This is what I'm talking about, none of the numbers have been moving, it's staying still
  8. Don't worry about the OC, factory OCs are very mild. I bought a Twin Frozr IV 760 and found out the OC was very mild
  9. Good news everyone! I've figured out how to back up my games and music Music/Origin: Drag and Drop Steam: Used Steam's Backup and Restore Programs tool
  10. FM2+ is a dead socket, go AM3+, wait for Zen, or go intel LGA 1150 A 960 is not going to get high settings/60 frames on all games, especially something like Metal Gear Solid V or MKX
  11. Do I just drag my entire steam folder into the new drive?
  12. So before I upgrade to Win 10, I wanna backup all of my stuff (games and music are most important here) to the ext drive. I'm using Windows 7's backup program, do I want to let Windows choose what to backup?
  13. It should be enough, but I'd go 600W just to be safe

    I just dropped 104 bucks on a 1TB WD Blue and e…

I think it was 60 for the HDD and then 35 for the enclosure, then tax was about 9 bucks
  15. Wait, do ALL SSDs run off of the chipset's lanes? If you plug it into the PCI-E slot, doors it use CPU lanes?
  16. For movies only use the weakest card For games use the 970, if power connectors constrict, use the 660
  17. Get a new monitor If you do need to upgrade the 970 later, I'd go for a new GPU, otherwise you'll have to do a lot of work tearing out the motherboard
  18. Wait, I thought it was an almost direct rebrand of the 4790K, so it'd only have 16 lanes Edit: I went to ark.intel, turns out I am right!

Do I listen to enough Monstercat? http://puu.sh…

Is that every single album Monstercat's ever released?! Jesus! I've been listening to them for about a year and I only have 73 songs from them. (I have to listen to the song repeatedly before I like and add it to my PC/phone)
  20. Try sling TV, it has a few of your channels, it works with your PC phone and set top box https://www.sling.com/package You get AMC and 22 other channels for 20 a month, HBO is another 5 a month I don't see BBC, Showtime, or Starz tho
  21. I just dropped 104 bucks on a 1TB WD Blue and external enclosure (in case my current one dies, it's been making some noise) At least I don't have to worry about not having backups now!

^I'm guessing the bulk of the cost was for the enclosure?

      104USD is a bit expensive...

Oh wait, with current exchange rates, it's around 5k PhP (3k for the HDD, 2k for the enclosure)... Sounds about right if the enclosure is good...

  22. Alright, looking at HP's site, it does have a PCIe 16x slot, and it should support the 750 ti. However, I doubt it can support anything higher as the PSU is only 300W. Yes 300W!Data: PCIe 16x on mobos Power: Does not require extra connectors, PSU wattage just barely hits minimum requirements Physical: Hopefully card is short enough, and have 2 slots in the back Heat: Card shouldn't generate much heat, airflow might not be great Noise: Headphones will fix that HP link:http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-p7-Desktop-PC-series/5187022/model/5193525/product-info

  25. I really hope it's a standard Phillips screw...I really don't want to deal with a torx screw type
