  1. No, the GPU can render less on 1440p so the bottleneck is lower. Also, give this a watch
  2. Some game engines support Dolby Atmos for headphones (I remember CoD Modern Warfare 2019 having the option) and it might be helpful if owning some borderline bad headphones.
  3. Flash the latest Bios. It can affect the performance. Don't forget to load XMP (DOCP) after flashing the Bios, you don't want your RAM running 2400 (JEDEC spec). And yes, your CPU is a severe bottleneck if you're gaming on 1080p.
  4. Where's the high-end PC? Which motherboard? Which RAM and which frequency? Which CPU cooling? Latest motherboard Bios? Latest Chipset drivers downloaded from AMD? Monitored the GPU usage? The 5900X is comparable to a 5600X when it comes to gaming, and that's a low-end CPU when it comes to trying to achieve high frame rates. It probably is a bottleneck, just like it was with my 6950XT.
  5. Which resolution? 1080p? 1440p? RTX 3060 12GB for 1080p, maybe a 4060. 1440p - RTX 4060 Ti, RTX 3070 Ti
  6. I am not sure, I know for games and many applications the VRAM is not combined, like SLI, one buffer - same data on both cards.
  7. Opt for more VRAM. 4070 Ti Super at least.
  8. Latest Bios? Latest AMD chipset drivers? Which PSU?
  9. Update your Bios first. Then replace your CMOS battery, cheaper than buying a multimeter. Then load DOCP, Resizable BAR, ... Retest.
  10. What do you use to monitor your GPU usage? Do you have a multimeter to test the cmos battery voltage? Latest motherboard Bios? Latest chipset drivers downloaded from AMD?
  11. Which CPU, motherboard, PSU? Which Windows?
  12. Rapidly triggering the switch; press-release-press-release a few dozen times.
  13. Key chattering is a common issue with mechanical switches, especially Cherry MX clones. There's a simple solution that works most of the time. Take the keycap off, press the switch down, drop a few drops of alcohol in, work the switch out, let the alcohol evaporate/dry, and return the cap. If the issue persists, do it again, if three attempts fail the only solution is replacing the switch.
  14. You seem to still be on Bios Q7 while the latest seems to be Q8. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B350-TOMAHAWK/support Also, check the CPU-s for bent pins and check the socket (if a pin broke off it might be in the socket).
  15. This is how I'd do it: PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PbtyN6 CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor ($129.00 @ Amazon) Motherboard: ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4 ATX AM4 Motherboard ($89.99 @ Amazon) Memory: TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan Z 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory ($35.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Crucial P3 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($115.99 @ Adorama) Video Card: MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ventus 2X 12G OC GeForce RTX 3060 12GB 12 GB Video Card ($289.99 @ Newegg) Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case ($89.99 @ Amazon) Power Supply: SeaSonic FOCUS GX 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($69.99 @ Newegg) Monitor: Asus TUF Gaming VG249Q1A 23.8" 1920 x 1080 165 Hz Monitor ($189.00 @ Amazon) Total: $1009.94 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2024-05-02 01:29 EDT-0400 But I would probably go with Intel in this situation, a 12th generation i5.
  16. If you do work mainly, get a 5700X or a 5800X, if you game mostly get a 5700X3D or 5800X3D. All of them are great upgrades.
  17. Your RAm is working at 2400 Mhz Instead of 3200. You are loosing a lot. Yes, way worse. You have to turn on XMP or DOCP in the Bios. Also, make sure you're on the latest Bios version. https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/tuf-gaming/tuf-b450m-plus-gaming/helpdesk_bios?model2Name=TUF-B450M-PLUS-GAMING
  18. Is your RAm 2400 MHz or did you forget to turn on XMP? Because DDR4 2400 would severely bottleneck any Zen 2 or Zen 3 CPU. If it's 3000, 3200 or such not so much.
  19. A 5700X3D or 5800X3D would have been probably the better option costwise.
  20. The 7900 GRE is noticeably stronger than the 7800XT. Both aren't huge heaters, so the smaller cooling solutions should be fine as long as the case has decent airflow.
