  2. My favorite thing about the phone would be a toss up between the front facing speakers and the dedicated camera button. Although orange isn't really my color, the skin looks awesome.
  3. The motion launch controls are probably my favorite thing about the phone, but my favorite change from the M7 is the SD card slot. Being in phones sells for a few years the M& was probably the most personally frustrating phone to sell. I loved the build quality and overall phone, but couldn't sell it for the life of me because of the lack of that SD card slot.
  4. Another update. Using the 331.82 Nvidia driver I am still getting 1202 MHz. So it would seem to be an issue with GPU Tweak. Manually dialing in the clocks from stock as opposed to using profiles seems to be the solution for this. Sorry for posting a topic asking for help on something that I was able to solve myself. At least it's up here for anyone else that might have the issue.
  5. Sorry, completely forgot temps. Haven't broken 50 C. Update to changing drivers. So, with the 331.65 driver I am getting boosts up to 1202, but not right away. I had to restart gpu tweak and clock up everything from base without loading a profile. I am going to go back to the 331.82, or whatever the current driver, and try manually clocking everything up from base without using profiles. Oh, also. Running GPU Tweak 2.4.9.2. I think it may end up being a GPU tweak issue. Might try something else like afterburner if it turns out to be on GPU tweak end.
  6. Recently, my Asus Gtx 780 DirectCU 2 has dropped its clock speeds. I have been using Asus' GPU tweak with no issues and now the monitor is showing the gpu clock maxing at 575 MHz with the the gpu boost set to 1101. Normally setting my gpu boost at 1101 results in the gpu clock reaching up to 1200 MHz, this has been my highest stable boost before. I've run this setting at 1200 mV for a few months with the power target at 105% and the memory clocked at 6800. Less than a week ago I noticed a drop in performance while gaming and saw the low clock speed in the GPU tweak monitoring window. Does anyone know of a driver issue? I know I did download a new driver last week, but I don't know if the issue started right after or a little after getting the driver. On that note, I am going to see if I can run an old driver from Nvidia and see if that fixes it. Assuming it doesn't, though, I am hoping someone knows what is going on here.
  7. I don't know how i missed this giveaway. Appreciate the reminder.

  9. I know the cooler on this Titan and 780 is amazing. The color is what I am mostly not thrilled about. The reference look on an rog board with red led's lighting the case, doesnt look great. If it comes down to it, I will not avoid a 780 because of the looks, but I'm willing to wait to if there is an option that will fit my wants better.
  10. Anyone know if/when we will start to see manufacturers pushing out their custom pcb and cooling solutions for the Gtx780? I really like the look and preformance I have seen with my DirectCU2 cards with Asus and would like to maintain at least that appearance when/if I upgrade to Gtx780.
  11. Yeah, I have 2 boards. First one, I'm pretty sure was damaged either on its way back to newegg or by newegg. I would make an attempt to examine and straighten pins but I don't think that will fix the original problem. It was powering on and shutting down with nothing on the qcode display. The second, with bad dimms amongst other issues, I'm not ruling out the ram or cpu being the problem. The ram is NOT on the qvl however I doubt that is the problem since it works in the other 2 dimms. I'm waiting on the original board to come back from ASUS to test the ram on that board. I've also heard of bent pins causing qcode 55. I've checked the socket on this one and for the life of me can't find anything that looks out of place. It also has that problem where during post and raid setup it doesn't see half my drives as well as my keyboard only registering escape during the raid set up. My biggest concern with this is what to do with my second board if it does turn out to be defective. I have this uneasy feeling about sending it to newegg for rma because of the damage that occured last time I did that and sending it to ASUS takes quite some time and shipping to them from here is more expensive than shipping to newegg. I haven't updated the bios because the only people that I've read of having error 55 that updated bios either had no benefit or lost use of all but 1 dimm. If my original board comes back and works with no issue then I can rule out bios anyway.
  12. I really enjoy the tactile feedback from the MS blues and, as I understand, the reds do not have that same "feel" and are more like membrane keys in that manner. In my current set up, I would like to have the noise from the blues but it's possible that later I would need a quieter setup, which is why I am open to the browns. I might be wrong in my understanding though, is there a distinct difference in the feel of the blues to reds?
  13. I must have the worst luck in the world here. I am upgrading my current gaming computer and will be building another for someone soon. I decided, for my upgrade, to get the Maximus V Formula. After getting my mobo, CPU, and RAM I installed everything in my system and tried to boot. Nothing. About 1 second of power and then shut down. The start/reset and ROG logo lights were on, but nothing else. No Qcode display, no beeps from speaker. Tried all possible DIMM options with the 2 sticks I had and removed and reinstalled the hardware and checked for any damage. Eventually gave up and took everything out to send the board back to Newegg for RMA. I decided to order another board to limit downtime and figured I would just use it in my future build. When Newegg received the board, they claimed there was physical damage to the socket and they would not honor the warranty, advising me to send the board to ASUS the pay them for repair. When I received the original board back from Newegg the retail box appeared to have slight damage and the socket cover was missing, showcasing the socket damage. I honestly believe there was no damage to the socket before I sent it back to newegg, but can't be 100% sure nor could I prove it if I was so I have sent it to ASUS and I am waiting for them to bill me for the repair then diagnose the original issue. Meanwhile my other board has come in and has 2 dead DIMM slots. Also whenever I try to go into my RAID setup, my only keyboard entry that gets registered is escape. The RAID setup also only sees 2 of my 4 drives, even though Windows and the UEFI see the other drives. Is it really possible that I am just that unlucky or is it possibly some odd problem with the CPU and/or RAM? I haven't been able to test them individually since both my boards appeared to be defective on arrival, but I am able to operate on the second board while I wait for ASUS on the first, I just don't have dual channel support and my storage drives cant be set up in a raid configuration.
  14. I thought I found the perfect keyboard for me, in the Cooler Master Quick fire TK. The layout is great, but I want a red backlit keyboard with blue switches and my understanding is that they only have blue backlighting on blue switches and to get red backlighting you have to go with red switches. This will be my first mechanical keyboard, however, I am coming from a G15 gen 1 and prefer the feel of that keyboard over every membrane keyboard I have tried. I would like a smaller keyboard that still has a 10-key. This will be used frequently for gaming so the ability to disable the windows key is very desirable. Because I want a smaller keyboard, I would prefer no macro keys and I can live without media keys. My only experience with mechanical switches is the Cherry MX blue arrow keys on the Razer Blackwidow, through the demo cutout on the box. I loved them. I don't have a retail location around that has mechanical keyboards to go try the different switches so I would prefer to get it right on the first try. If anyone knows of something fitting my preference or if you think I would be happy with reds and think I should just get the Quick fire TK with reds please let me know. Thank you.
