  1. Half of the fun is just OCing it for me. If it blows up, well it blew up
  2. I top out at a mere 67c at that voltage. With still 60% more fanspeed headroom. The card is getting older and I'm trying to run a few games at 4k. Just trying to squeeze what I can out of it.
  3. I thought maybe so, I have seen people on youtube with apparent BIOS voltage mods. I just can't replicate it with the same tools. I think maybe I'm missing something?
  4. Hey guys and gals, I've got a Zotac 980ti Amp! Extreme. I can get 1,500 mhz on 1.23v using MSI Afterburner to oc. I've been messing around with Maxwell BIOS Tweaker. I've set a max voltage of 1.28v but when I flash the BIOS onto the card I'm not getting 1.28v. I'm still seeing 1.23 to 1.212v depending on GPU Boost. Does Zotac have some hardware limited voltage restriction I'm unaware of? Thanks
  5. I've been looking at the XB271HU. Which I think is just a newer look aesthetically. Thanks for the input guys!
  6. Hey guys, I've been looking around for a 16:9 1440p Gsync monitor. There's just so many choices and I'm not sure which is currently the one to get. I'm a race car driver and use my system primarily for sim racing. As it's a business purchase I'm too worried about value. Thanks everyone!
  7. I have MSI Afterburner and ASUS GPU Tweak running. Thanks guys!
  8. Hey guys, I noticed on my brother's computer that his GPU usage is stuck at 100% all the time. However when I went into task manager to check which process was doing so it immediately dropped to 0% again. What's happening? I think he's got a mining virus?
  9. Make sure you clean off all of the residual silicon before you put it back. I didn't do this correctly on my 4790k and had to go back. Doing it right on my 8700k dropped my temps by 10c with just Arctic Silver 5.
  10. You can do a drift it's just very difficult. You have to get the inside wheel spinning and then use vehicle momentum to break the other wheel free. Please drive responsibly, only attempt such stunts on a closed course under direct supervision by professionals.
  11. Both wheels always drive forward. However one side is never able to get more traction than the slipping wheel. So if it takes no effort to break traction at a single wheel very little engine torque is placed at the non slipping wheel. If both tires have equal traction like in a straight line both with slip. IE my burn out picture
  12. Tire carcass may warm but you'll find the tread to be at what ever the road temperature is. Or extremely close to it. I'd recommend all season tires in the winter till you actually have snow on the ground then I would recommend you do what I do and put on dedicated snow tires.
