My backup internet connection (my main isp can take a couple weeks for a service call) is comcast- 10Mb/s line for 20$ a month. I just got a letter that they increased my speed for me. No mention of free. How much ya'll wanna bet they'll change me to a different tier automatically like they've done in the past? Place your bets now, will be a month before I find out. I've heard tons of complaints about it, but it never happened to me until they forced me to use autopay or pay a significant amount more monthly, so my bets are this is targeted to people with autopay.
No word about free, so yea as far as I've heard they bump you up a plan without your consent and charge you. How is this shit legal.

when they do I certainly will record the call of me trying to get them to drop the charges. I live in a one party consent state and I'm prettu sure the "this call may be recorded" message is a two party consent anyway.
When I dropped TV and phone from them I went through 3 agents and recorded the last 2. The first 2 hung up on me once they realized they couldn't convenience me to keep it. After telling the last that I don't really watch TV enough to pay for it (they require you give a reason, "I don't want it" won't get you far), he asked condescendingly "have you tried watching your TV?"

@Syntaxvgm hehehe I want to hear that call Those guys are hilarious if you rile them up enough

@8uhbbhu8 yah like for me disconnecting the 2 and eventually 3 services a while ago I'm pretty sure they transfer you to a retention department who has a percentage of cancellations they must stay under, and I'm pretty sure it's like 20%. 20% of people transferred, already mad, and trying to get rid of service. Why they hang up.

@Syntaxvgm as with most of these companies. They don't have a support line they have a sales line masquerading as one
