Carano's Achievements

  1. I had the same problem recently. I am using Corsair Vengeance 2x4Gb 1600MHz running on XMP Profile 1, DRAM Speed DDR3-1600 on my motherboard, Asrock Z77 Pro4-M for more than a year now. Just last week my pc won't boot, it powers up then shuts off then powers up again, on & off, so on. Then I tried clearing cmos but it doesn't solve the problem, I even removed cmos battery overnight just to make sure the cmos was cleared but it still doesn't work. I noticed when i replace the cmos battery, the fans spin on full speed(means the bios was reset because my fans were set on lowest speed) then after 5 - 10 seconds it shuts down again and when it powered on the fans were spinning on low speed! (wth? ) Then I tried booting with another stick of RAM other than I am currently using which is a Geil Enhance Corsa 4Gb 1600MHz (1 stick only) and it successfully booted! It's weird that the cmos wasn't cleared even though i removed the battery. I loaded default bios, reinstalled the Corsairs, changed RAM speed settings and it returned to the problem. Then I tried loaded default bios again with the Geil, then replace it with the Corsairs and didn't bother changing the RAM speed settings and my pc were back to its "normal" state.
  2. "chassis intrusion explained." i don't know if a video is made for this before but it's good to know about this one.
  3. Go to the manufacturer's website. You can download it from there.
  4. Try this one: Right click on the device in question and select properties. on the device window, click the Details tab, select Hardware Ids and copy the 1st line(it looks something like this: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3A&SUBSYS_844D1043&REV_04) and google it. Source: Linus on his build guides.
  5. I use the stock cooler on i3 and i set it to automatic(lowest setting but speeds up when the temp reaches 50°C) on my motherboard and it doesn't spin on idle and when playing movies.
  6. A better GPU. But I can't afford one. >,< I'm stuck with my old GTS 450.
  7. Please make a video about positive vs negative air pressure. This is form silverstone: http://www.silverstonetek.com/techtalk_cont.php?tid=wh_positive
  8. Carano

    Do you ever..

Watching build guides makes me more informed on other hardware other than what i own.
  9. Yes! You're right, man! Mine is only built with i3 and old gts 450 but it's already my best rig.
  10. Try looking at Phanteks Enthoo Pro.
