Hey Guys,
I've gotten good advice on this forum before so I'd thought I'd consult you once more. I'm struggling between these two monitors, which are currently the exact same price for me (The AOC is at my local Microcenter, the Dell has a good promo on Newegg.) I'm generally going to be using them for gaming, movie watching, word processing, and internet browsing. I'm not a competitve FPS player so I don't particularly need extremely low GTG times of TN panels. I think I will prefer the image benefits of IPS. Here's the round up:
Pros of AOC
Smaller Bezel
Faster GTG time (5ms vs 7ms)
In-store pick-up, less shipping risk of damage
This panel's older brother (I2757Fh) got a smart buy on Tom's Hardware, so I imagine this is of similar quality.
Much higher contrast ratio (50Mil : 1 vs. 1k : 1)
Cons of AOC
Smaller (22in vs 23in)
Pros of Dell
Bigger (23in Vs. 22in)
Very low input lag (that I could find online)
good matte screen
Good reported Build Quality
Very thin
Cons of Dell
Slower GTG time
Screen is apparently very reflective
Lower contrast ratio
So, Which one guys? Or is there another IPS panel (or very good TN) at this price point (<$129.99)?
Thanks for your help.
