  1. The affected laptops aren't even their cheap-ass consumer PCs, it's their enterprise range devices. What the fuck? Maybe it's Conexant's fault?
  2. Okay, fair enough. However, you can follow those steps and choose "remove everything and reinstall Windows" for a factory fresh install
  3. I would recommend a Windows reinstall. If you're using Windows 10, go to settings > update & security > recovery > Reset this PC > Then, you can choose to "keep my files" to keep your files and reinstall Windows
  4. Tabs in Windows Explorer would certainly be cool
  5. Yes, I completely understand that. But, come on, what were they thinking with this one? they're shooting themselves in the foot.
  6. I'll buy one if it's just Surface Pro 4 w/ Thunderbolt. Other than that, it's absolutely perfect.
  7. Wow, that's really unusual, I've never seen that before.

  9. set the internet connection as a metered connection. you're most likely using Ethernet, so you'll have to use this workaround: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-networking/how-to-set-an-ethernet-connection-as-metered-to/ecdaca08-d413-4a6a-9e33-b4afb337fc18?auth=1 There's a download link in the middle of the post that will run a batch file to edit the registry automatically

  12. The "UWP is inadequate" line from Tim Sweeny is possibly the only true thing he has said about Microsoft. UWP is very bare in terms of game support.

  14. They've been selling T-shirts on their Company Store, which is open for all, for years.
  15. I believe that you can't turn Cortana on if you don't have a Microsoft Account linked to the PC. So f you have a local account, no Cortana for you. On the other hand, if you have a MS Account linked and you don't want Cortana, you can either use that group policy stuff or unlink your MS Account. That said, I don't know why'd they do that. EDIT: The fact that it's still an insider-only feature set as of now may explain why you can't turn it off. That's most likely the reason.
  16. You have tablet mode enabled. Go to the Action Center in the lower right corner, and click tablet mode
  17. I've got a GTX 680. That card struggles in modern titles.
