  1. Not with all of the recent AMD cards, and it isn't necessary for the 290. I'd used 3 monitors without Displayport before with no issue, but now they just aren't being detected.
  2. Manually detected in CCC and Windows settings, still only one shows up.
  3. I've been running 2 screens (Monitor 1 and Monitor 2 in this post) for about a year, and recently acquired a third (Monitor 3). When booting, Monitor 1 and 3 display the POST screen. Then those two switch off and Monitor 2 displays the login and OS. Only Monitor 2 is detected in the OS and Catalyst Control Center. I changed the cables around and had the same issue. I uninstalled all of the drivers, restarted and Monitor 2 never turned on, only 1 and 3 worked, however they displayed the same thing and were detected as one panel in the Windows settings. After reinstalling the drivers I had the original issue. This only occurred once I re-assembled the computer and first tried to run 3 screens. Monitor 1 and 2 are using DVI cables, Monitor 3 uses a HDMI to DVI adapter, all out of a Sapphire Tri-X 290. I have been able to use 3 screens out of the same ports before with no issue, however the third screen in that case was only temporary. Any ideas on what may be wrong? EDIT: Nevermind, most recently added monitor was causing the issue, replacement works fine with all three.
  4. First found LTT through the XA10 unboxing, eventually re-found the channel in 2012 and kept watching until now. Congratulations on 1 million guys.
  5. I like that the Z2 (Like the Z1) is waterproof and dustproof, good having the peace of mind. Also, Dbrand made a LinusTechTips custom skin, what's not to like?
  6. I've heard good things about X-Plane.
  7. Yeah, looks like it was the motherboard. Changed all of the RAM around, tried another identical 8400, onboard graphics, nothing. New board it is. Thanks for the help!
  8. My computer has been working almost flawlessly for close to two years, and it just decided to stop. Its a Dell Optiplex 990 (Small Form Factor version) - Intel Core i3 2120 - Dual core, Turbo to 3.3GHz, Sandy bridge. - Nvidia Leadtek 8400 GS - Samsung 64GB 830 Series - Samsung 128GB 840 Pro - 64-Bit Windows Home Premium if it helps, but it doesn't make it that far. I pressed the power button, and about a second in a diagnostic light was on, the monitors were blank, but the computer was powered on, fans running, heat from the CPU. I did what I always did when there was a problem, I looked at the diagnostic lights and the colour of the power button. The power button was blue and the only the "3" light was on. I brought out the service manual and went to the light readout page (Pg 69 in the link below) and looked for the appropriate arrangement. It wasn't there. There was a troubleshoot for "3" and no light on the power button, I tried the fix for that anyway, and it didn't work. I did the usual, power cycled a few times, drained the power, changed the RAM around, made sure everything was plugged in correctly. Any other suggestions? Am I missing something in the manual, is there another possible problem, is this it for that computer? Any advice is welcomed, and if more information is required, I can always add more. 9. Definitely the future. SpaceX said they had plans for a 21st century spacecraft, and they actually built it. Russia is still using Soyuz, and while it works damn well, there hasn't been any innovation. NASA can't do jack because the government gives them little and regulates the whole show. SpaceX being private also means they have a large incentive to bring the cost down, making space accessible. I personally will be lining up for a ticket, whether it be on Dragon 2, 3, 4, or whatever, cos that looks pretty luxurious too.
  10. Only look at the post if the author made a comment. It won't always be an update to the build, but...
