So here is a video of Titan XPs running in 4-way sli while playing GTA 5. Scaling seems to be pretty amazing. Edit: Forgot to add the link:

How can I disable PCI-E slot on Asus X99-A?
tommi_6o replied to tommi_6o's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
No need to disable anything no more. It was a monitor problem not a gpu. -
How can I disable PCI-E slot on Asus X99-A?
tommi_6o replied to tommi_6o's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I'm not sure if it was or was not. I ran it as far as I could from other cables without any luck. On my monitor the OSD is also doing it which leads me to believe it's the monitors fault. The store where I bought mine form only has the PG279Q in stock. I don't know if they do straight replacements or if they'll send it to Asus but If they do I'll aks for the PG279Q and pay the difference. I hope they accept that -

Thanks. I don't think my problem is caused by the cable. I tried another one and the same thing kept happening. I took a video of the problem. Did yours look the same? -

Best idea would be disabling the gpu from device manager if you can't actually remove it. -

It's monitor problem 99% but it will give an error saying you need to connect the power to the pci-e device. -

Did you fix the problem by RMA:ing the monitor or just changing the cable? Opening / closing the osd menu can cause it to go away for a while so I don't think that the cable could be causing that. -

So true I'd have lost my shit if I started pulling it apart before I found out the problem. -

Other people have had the exact same issues as I'm having with this monitor. I'll try a few different dp cables. Edit: I can't read today it seems... So you fixed the same issue with just changing the cable? -

I have the OG Swift. The new one has hdmi and displayport but G-sync only works with DP. They could have added a hdmi port but they would have needed an extra scaler to make it work. With the new Swift the upgraded G-synch module supports the hdmi input without an extra scaler. -

I'll try the monitor on a different pc. I don't know why I didn't think about that... -

I'll try disabling them in device manager. I've got only a single DP1.2 cable and I can't use anything else because Rog Swift. I'll try the monitor on my other pc and if it's still there order a new cable and try that. If it still isn't working I need to RMA the monitor. -

Read trough the trouble shooting thread I linked in the op post. I tested them without sli (no bridge installed) and same thing happens with my monitor connected to either one of the gpus. Seems odd that they would break at the same time in the same way. I need to take them out and test them one by one. -

They've been watercooled for almost a year. I went trough those options but couldn't find it. -

I have a spare gpu so I don't need to put the stock coolers on but still draining the loop is a pain in the ass -
EDIT: Seems like my monitor is at fault. I still need to try another DP cable. I'm having some problems with my rig https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/589403-blurry-text-win10-1440p-monitor-no-scaling-used/ and I'd like to try my GPUs one by one to see if one of them is broken but they are watercooled so I'd need to do it trough disabling PCI-E slots. I just can't find the option in the bios. It would be great if someone could tell me where the option is hiding. Please also take a look in my trouble shooting thread to see if you guys could help me.

Blurry text Win10 1440p monitor NO scaling used
tommi_6o replied to tommi_6o's topic in Troubleshooting
PG279Q and Titan X sli. It might have just fixed it self. I'll report back. Edit: I reinstalled the drivers with DDU and after they were cleaned and I started to install the new one it went back to normal. Then it asked to reboot the pc to finish the installation and back to looking blurry. WTF is going on? -
Edit3: My monitor or its DP cable is causing the problem. I'll need to get a new DP cable to find out which one it is. I just came back to my pc and I noticed that some text looks blurry. If I go to file explorer all the folder/file names are blurry but the date next to them looks ok. Anyone else had this happen to them? Edit: Now my screen is flashing twice every second. On every (flash) it turns blurry for a split second then back to normal. I took a slowmo video and a screen shot from that video when it looks normal compared to when it (flashes) Edit2: If I set my monitor to 144hz it will flash to blurry twice every second. If I set it to 60hz it is blurry all the time. I tried a different windows installation without any luck. You can't see it very well but when you look at the ''required'' text you should be able to see it. Also the icons with the thin lines turn in to a black mess.

I have this Potato link 4000 The problem is I need a cable modem which supports bridged mode. I would need to get one trough my isp but they didn't have the model which supported that feature. (Cable modems aren't sold anywhere on the earth or they are priced higher than gold bars.) I need to call them again and make them get me one so I can then just buy some decent router and have actually working wifi.

I use it on wifi with my terrible router so most likely you wont have any problems.

CS GO on a track pad isn't the best idea.. (I've tried it ) Steam in home streaming works really well. I use it sometimes to play gta in bed when I'm too tired to sit in a chair.
