  1. i get really bored and i was just looking around lol I need friends
  2. Excited to start putting things together

  3. That CPU will defiantly do the job for 1080p gaming for a long time, as well as 1440p. The big thing that will really change that is all what GPU you will be using to match it but overall the CPU should be fine for years to come.
  4. I have unfortunately spent around $1600 over the past 3 years because I had my main PC and I have been slowly putting together another one. I work over the summer and put about $20 a week towards it. Saving for a build can take a long time but it is well worth it.
  5. Ask this question again when the time comes for an upgrade because like other people have already said in 2 years there will be something better than the 970 for the same price.
  6. sounds like a killer setup and the performance sounds very good, but have you had any problems with it?
  7. I have been using air coolers for most of my life and the only reason I was even looking at AIO coolers is for more performance. Also I don't think I will be moving my Core V71 around a lot...too damn big. I just want to know whether a H100i will preform as good as a high end air cooler for the price. I think I am done with custom loops for a while.
  8. I have both used the FX 6300 and the FX 8320. Both CPU's are very good for how much you are paying. But if you want to have the best overall experience you will have to upgrade to a i5 4690k or higher. If you are looking to game at 1080p then the FX line will do wonders for you but if you are going to be doing heavier gaming at higher resolutions then you will need "newer hardware" the AM3+ Socket is unfortunately dead and if you want the best of the best an i5 or i7 is what you are looking at. For 1080p gaming the FX 6300 and the FX 8320 are both great CPU's. If you really want to stick with AMD though I would recommend the FX 8370, it being the best AMD cpu i have personally ever used.
  9. I was just wondering if closed loops are really worth it. Like I've heard that the pump will die out in 2 years. I have also heard that they are don't add as much of a performance increase over some air coolers. I am interested in the H100i but I'm debating on getting one because I'm not sure if it will be worth my money in the long run. I sure as hell know its cheaper than a custom loop. The last custom loop I did was around $500. I was just curious if for around $140 I could get something similar to a custom loop, I just don't want to replace it ever few years.
  10. I have to disagree with almost all replies to this...the 290X Lighting has similar performance to the 970 out of the box, but the overclocking capabilities are going to be better on the 970. I also do understand I am slightly biased in the fact that personally I do like Nvidia drivers more but in my opinion, sure it might be more at the start but the overclocking potential is amazing. Freesync is also just something i'm not all too big on but if thats what you are looking for than the 290X is for you but other than that I would choose the 970.
