  1. The cookie dough you find in Cookie Dough Ice Cream? I feel like they would sort of work but be really saggy and low-quality and I'm too lazy to try myself !
  2. @Muramasa That info is all well and good, and I am waiting for higher VRAM cards (and if TI's get released, which im pretty sure they won't, ill grab those) but I do have one glaring question. I constantly hear people talk about "this board has Nx16 PCIe slots" but if you look at the processors available, i.e. the 5960x, the "max number of PCIe lanes" is 40. So doesn't that make anything more that x16/x16/x8 (total 40) irrelevant, since my processor doesn't even support more than 40 PCIe lanes? Or am I misinterpreting this information? -Edit basedlinus to the rescue He literally JUST did a video about this ahaha-
  3. @MarQue98 Long story short, parents/family are all completely fucking nuts and have plenty of money. They'll pay for this rig, but they won't even begin to help w/ my college. Currently at 50k (30k unsub, 20k sub) in student loans... I'm probably going to sell this rig at some point, desk included. Hopefully get the money back, put that towards school. (Hope that didn't raise more questions than answers)
  4. @Ate Man, I can't wait @_@ but... occasional framedrops in bf4... really hoping a 3rd card and possible 6/8Gb variants soon will prevent that, but even then, future games on UE4 are probably going to murder my system at that res T_T
  5. meh, 6 core vs 8 core, the 8 core will help out more w/ school / work (rendering, compiling, etc.) assuming of course things are programmed for it. *shrug* Don't care, threw money at meh problemz :3
  6. Yea, I was looking at the various boards available with x16/x16/x16 and it came down to, "Do I really want to spend an extra $100.00 (USD) per frame? No, no I do not..." I mean, I get it, I'm spending a lot here, but I'm not being wasteful... kind of...
  7. @Muramasa I haven't found any boards that even support x16/x16/x16 that just seems ludicrous to me atm lol. The EVGA board looks promising and it was shipped with the VRM heatsink still attached, huzzah! (Many reviewers had an issue with it coming loose because it is really big and bulky. Strange) This build may still be a ways out however, as we have no idea how long untill 6/8g (im praying for 8g) non-reference PCB's and their accompanying waterblocks will be released *cries*. I also can't find any Asus ROG Swift monitors in stock aaaaanywhere so if anyone see's them, please let me know! -Edit- I'm hoping AMD releases some craziness soon and forces Nvidia to release like an 8Gb 980 variant (but if i'm understanding correctly, 980ti isn't even possible lol)
  8. So my CPU waterblock came today aaaaand... wrong part was shipped. QQ
  9. I will be waiting for the 6/8GB VRAM cards. tracert what monitor would YOU recommend for gaming in a triple 2560x1440p setup? Because as far as I'm aware, it's the only available 2560x1440 monitor with a 1ms response time, and I don't care too much about "true color reproduction" as the only thing this machine will be doing is wrecking kids in games and running as a text editor.
  10. Thanks Jumper118 that post might be a ways off. Still waiting on monitors/graphics cards to even become available T_T lol
  11. @Fear.44 I'm actually going to be building a desk for myself. The entire color scheme for pc/desk is going to be White/Pink/Black/Gray (inspired by Mirrors edge and the CS:GO Asiimov/Vulcan skins). RAM got here today, not posting pictures atm cuz, well... it's RAM lol
  12. Okay, now I'm no water cooling expert, but aren't those fins just a heat sink for the pump on the CPU block to keep it running properly without overheating and failing? IE: http://www.ekwb.com/shop/pumps-and-accessories/pump-tops/ek-ddc-heatsink-cover-nickel.html Also helps to explain the rather large clearance required.
  13. If you don't mind heading towards your budget I would recommend the ASUS ROG PG278Q. It's a 27" 2560x1440 1ms monitor for... well, a LOT! $800.00 (USD) on newegg and sold out atm, but rave reviews from all over the web. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=24-236-405
  14. Final Fantasy XV, New Mirrors edge, Kingdom Under Fire Online. Wow it occurs to me that I am not waiting on very many games lol... *crys*
  15. Confirmed: I have a big package. And inside that package? My masterpiece draws ever closer...
