  1. Amazing giveaway as always, My username is FieryAnt and I liked and commented this videos: https://www.vessel.com/videos/JemZ8O7Hy and https://www.vessel.com/videos/JYZEYDYx0 .
  2. I got back from school and realized how badly I wrote this, so I rewrote it and wanted to ask you for your opinions again.
  3. I will sell my PC to a friend for 550€ and I want to buy a laptop for 600€ (It can be little over that, I will have 750€ and I need to pay shipping and customs). I need it for (most important to least important): 1. School (AutoCAD, Circuit Lab, Office 2013, Cisco academy stuff (networking, I'm entirely sure what I will be using here as I started this week)) 2. Making small programs and mods (I'm learning Java, Python and I plan on learning SQL, PHP, HTML5 and JavaScript if I will have enough time) 3. Playing Minecraft with small mods 4. Playing L4D2, Cod4, Civ5, WoT and other not too demanding games I would prefer if this laptop had: 0. It needs to be sold in Europe 1. USB 3 port 2. SSD 3. 4+ hours battery life 4. Touchscreen 5. Ability to be used as tablet I would prefer Laptop over PC because its portability, but I want to hear what do you think: should I build new PC if I can't laptop that can do all this for me?
  4. Good job on getting a million subs! I found out about you long time ago, before you started streaming in garage. I would usually watch archive and play Minecraft. As I watched most of your videos I learned quite a bit about tech and PC building from you.
  5. I want to install ubuntu but I have problem formating hard drive. I used to have some WMs on that partition but I moved it to other. I checked "show hidden files" and I can't see anything on drive. I get this messages when I try to format: I also tried running Drive Wiper from CCleaner but I wasn't able to format this partition.
  6. What I did is watch is videos, try to understand what each command does and when should I use it and then after the video was over I tried creating a program that did same thing myself. If I didn't understand something even after I wrote it I tried googling and learning about it on other sources (I had most trouble using objects and multiple classes). But I understand what you are saying, and I'll try to take make something myself. I think first thing I'll be writing is a GUI calculator.
  7. Are there any free courses that you could recommend and that are worth taking? I googled a bit and found one at udemy but I went through most of that already, and I can't get paid one as I'm 16 and can't buy it.
  8. I use DraStic and MyBoy emulators and play pokemons, yu-gi-oh and legend of zelda. I tried playing some other games but either my phone was too weak to run them at decent FPS or I didn't like playing that game on android screen.
  9. Hi, so about two weeks ago I decided that I will study Java and I thought that best way would be to watch videos from thenewboston and today I competed his beginner watch list. What I did is I watched videos of one project and tried to recreate it, and if I had problems I would watch that part of video again and try to solve my problems. Before proceeding I wanted to ask you what do you think I should do now? Start watching his intermediate tutorials, try to create some simple programs with what I know (and do you have any ideas about what should I create?), learn basics of C++ and see which one of this two languages I prefer or do something else. I'm thinking about learning basics of C++ my friend who is going to collage this year asked around and found out that he will be mostly learning Python and C++, and I already know basics of Python. I will most likely go to same collage as he is in 2 years (I would like to go to another, but even if I tried my hardest I don't think I'll have enough points to enter that one) and I don't know what would be a better idea, to know both Java and C++ or to be better at C++ and have easier time in collage?
  10. Thank you all for helping me, I'll take a day or two to read more about difference between languages, but I think Java might be a better choice for me.
  11. I think I'm going to learn Java, I'll read about it more and for now I just have couple questions: 1. Can you make android apps with C++? 2. How long (in hours) does it take to get "good" with Java (able to create apps that can profit or to get a job with that knowledge) and how much with C++?
  12. I'm 16 and so far I studied C in school and Phyton at home. I know basics of them, but as I won't be learning C in school anymore I would like to learn newer language. I'm currently going in school for electrician, but I would prefer to get a job in programming, as I enjoy it more. I would like to know what are strengths of each language, which one would be easier to find a job and which one would have higher salary. I plan to program in my free time for next 6 years and then try to find a job.
  13. I love that 1440p screen. I think its amazing to get 1440p on a phone when some people still use don't have 1080p monitors. Its also great that you can customize bottom buttons. And don't forget that date tonight!
