  1. So i'm looking at upgrading my current cpu Z87 i5 4670k and want to re-purpose my current CPU into an In Win Choppin m-ITX for a living room PC so I can stream games and movies from my room with my new PC. Only thing I'm concerned about is finding a cooler that will meet the 84w TDP of the 4670k but nothing does in that size case and I think the best bet would be the Noctua at 65w. The CPU will probably never see full utilization and all overclocking would be turned off and possible de-clocked if the thermals are bad. It's a horrible overclocking chip anyway so it's no big loss, however it is super efficient and would safely hit 4ghz at 1.164v while being super stable. The mother board a EVGA Z87 Stinger, 16GB Ripjaw X and CPU would be way overkill but if I don't use them they will probably never get used and the resale on them isn't worth parting with, so I want to use them and I wanted to buy a NUC anyway and this would save me some coin. What are peoples thoughts on this? The case has a 150w internal PSU, will that be enough for the mobo, CPU and a SSD? Is this even worth doing seeing I have all the parts minus case, cooler and ssd or should I just buy a NUC?
  2. Mostly RPG and racing games, I have my standard 1080p monitor for FPS and games that need better response times. I'd say the games most likely to be played are Fallout 4, Doom, MGS V, Forza other games like those So far some of the screens I have found in the price range are Sony KD49X7000D LG 49UH652T Samsung UA50KU6000 Not sure if these are what I'm looking for or have decent features but they seem to be the base model HDR screens from those manufactures
  3. As the title says, I'm looking for a budjet 4k HDR TV mostly for movies but the odd gaming session on the couch. Hoping to get a 50" or about that size for under $1200AUD. (Around $900USD) I really have no idea with what screens to consider. I went and checked a few local shops around town to have a look at some in person but only one shop actually had 4k content playing on their screens but had nearly no stock so the rest was useless to compare. Would prefer a brand like Sony, Samsung, LG or other more know brands but not essential I don't need any smart TV stuff, if it has it fine but I'm not worried at all if it doesn't have any. I would prefer a 60hz screen but I can live with a 50hz So fair the only screens that looked decent are the Samsung series 6 50" panel and the Hisense 50" HDR panel but I'm not sure about the Hisense as I've seen reviews saying the HDR isn't great and doesn't work on all inputs. It seems there is a lot of misinformation when it comes to HDR and I seen that the new HDR Premium standard has been released so it would be nice it it has that. Thanks
  4. Try and get an aftermarket cooler design if possible. It doesn't really matter which one you get as it should be down personal preference on cooler design and size restrictions on your case. The reference coolers aren't good enough and you will have issues with it thermal throttling
  5. The 212 is 159mm or 6.26" and the T4 is 152mm or 5.98"
  6. I second the Cooler Master Hyper T4. Fits straight onto AMD without any extra brackets. Also plenty good enough for OC'ing and it's fairly cheap.
  7. If you change chipset you have to do a clean install, no other way around it.
  8. I save up and buy it myself. This year I'm getting a $5000 STI gearbox for my WRX. This is going be the best Xmas ever.
  9. Not the what your asking for but very good for PSU reviews http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/PSUReviewDatabase.html
  10. Do I have the gun for you! Say hello to your new best friend Run and gun all you want and with 50 in the clip You can mow an entire team down without reloading PRO90 is love PRO90 is life
  11. My friends that are supreme and global say the same thing. I'm MG2 and I barely ever feel like someones hacking in my games. There is the odd exception though, I find cheaters are more common in casual with people using spinbots and walls Least when they do get banned all the wins and losses get rolled back but normally deranks people as well
  12. I play with a few people that smurf at MG to LE. One friend in particular is a Global smurf and we get matched up against MG to DMG and if they are at all bad or not working as a team he will 40 bomb using nothing but the scout and deagle like it's nothing. Everyone of my friends that is LE and higher have a smurf if not a few, pretty much all in the MG ranks Don't get me wrong there are cheaters and a lot of them and another ban wave is in order but the actual issue is smurfs and derankers.
  13. If you can man you should save up a bit bit more and go the 960. The price difference isn't all that much and overall you get a much better card
  14. Because in no way should a 750Ti come anywhere close to half the performance of a 390
  15. I doubt that the CPU is only a few years old with 8 threads and if a Q6600 can handle a 290 there is absolutely no reason his CPU couldn't handle the 390. A 4460 would be a massive waist of money for what might be little to no gains
  16. The difference you got between GTA V low and ultra should give you a better grasp of the power of the cards. A 390 is a great card and if you overclock it a bit you will get even more performance. Also your computer should be fine although I can't really comment on your mobo and ram without knowing more about them but overall it seems like a sold PC
  17. Yeah man It can run 1440p @ 144hz
  18. The i7 2600 is still a very capable CPU and I see no reason that it would be the limiting factor here. In my opinion it would be a total waist of money to upgrade for potentially even less gains What are the rest of the specs on your PC?
  19. I'm a bit surprised you should message Jacob at EVGA and ask about it. Even still doesn't change the fact this is one of the best power supplies available and has the 10 year warranty
  20. Aren't Agreed both the card and monitor have DP so I would use that personally
  21. I prefer Afterburner as it feels easier to use and simple layout with the monitering feature but Precision X has monitor overclocking so I'm currently using Precision X
  22. Yeah it was definitely an eye opening experience and showed me that I don't need to be some super high rank. I'd be more then happy if I never got past DMG because I know I don't have the skills to play beyond that level. Playing now 90% of the time win or lose I still have fun, even if I have a deranker it makes me try even harder and push myself and if it's real bad like massively outskilled or multiple trolls I'll have a bit of fun as well and try plays I wouldn't normally and try different guns that I'm not as good with and just use that game to try and make myself a better player. You have to realize you came in here spouting how good you are gonna be and belittling other players straight from the get go, of coarse there is going to be some animosity. There are people here that are probably in the silver to gold ranks and have been in there for a long time and you come in saying your gonna be global but at the same time asking for tips, it's not rocket science that you have just pissed these people off. Can you not see this is a loaded topic, I genuinely came here to help probably like almost everyone else but after seeing your attitude they have probably had second thoughts trying to help. As an MG2 player that knows their skill level I can still say with 99% confidence that if I was to play against you or someone else that hadn't played before, you wouldn't be able beat me and it would get to the point where I could make you hate the game. The scores would be so uneven and the game so lop sided it wouldn't be fun for either of us.
  23. MATE. I'm MG2 got there in about 2 weeks from silver 4 after not playing for almost a year, Getting from MG to MG2 took almost as long as from Silver to MG. I'm average at best the game. A lot of my IRL friends are LEM, Supreme and a couple are Global sometime I play with them on their smurf accounts which are between MG and LE. So sometimes I get matched against LE and LEM and the skill difference between me and them is enormous whilst they get torn apart by my friends who get called hackers all the time and I anchor. Once you play with a Supreme or Global you will see that it is a whole level. If you you can't call properly, know all the ins and outs of the maps, work as a team and follow direction you won't stand a chance. I can hold my own against a DMG no worries anything higher I have trouble unless it's a lucky game or they have a bad game or are deranking. Also wait till you get a deranker on you team or even better a pair so you can't even kick them. Don't buy keys buy the skins you want and be done with it. Keys and cases are a massive waist of money. I have spent about $100 bucks on skins and I have every skin and a knife I want not some random shit skins that are worth 4c on the market. Good luck mate you will need it.
  24. 750 is enough but If you plan on overclocking the CPU and SLI GPUS at all you'd want to consider a 850w PSU. ALso have a look at an EVGA GPU with the ACX cooler or you will have issues with thermal throttling
