  1. Is there any reason waiting to apply for the organisation is a bad idea? Size cap or anything? I don't really plan on buying anything until the Carrack (hopefully!) goes back on sale when it's hangar ready.
  2. Vessel Username: Relddireht Videos: https://www.vessel.com/videos/JYZEYDYx0 https://www.vessel.com/videos/DkWN4qqW1 Really not happy about the move to Vessel btw... but I do understand that it's more Youtube's fault than yours, so meh.
  3. I'm currently running an older i5 with a brand new GTX 980, but if I were to win one of these 5820K's, I'd probably kick it up a notch and add an X99 motherboard (well, duh.. lol) and a nice custom water loop with some rigid acrylic tubing. Never done anything with acrylic tubing before, but it sounds fun (and looks great)!
  4. Eh. I think most if not all games still use less than 4gb of vram at 4k. Shadow of Mordor can be played perfectly fine at 4k with textures installed on a 4gb card, despite their 6gb recommendation. Games like BF4, Crysis 3 won't use more than 4gb either. One thing about that build, though, is why 16gb of ram for gaming? Should be 8gb and the saved money should be put into a better CPU cooler, in my opinion.
  5. I'd add a GTX 750 ti or R7 265. You're not going to get very good gaming results with those integrated graphics.
  6. Well yea, but you said he might be better off going with an Msi, Asus, or Alienware. I'm saying a Sager or some other re-branded Clevo (Malibal, etc...) might also be a good option in that case.
  7. Clevo notebooks often offer some of the best performance for the money you'll find anywhere if you get one built for you. Take an MSI or Asus of your choosing and customize a comparable Sager (Clevo) on Xoticpc and you'll probably find that the Sager costs a lot less.
  8. Clevo barebones are the same. They're what Sager, Malibal, sometimes iBuypower, etc use.
  9. So I recently overclocked my 4690k to 4.3 Ghz at 1.25v, however after the overclock I'm getting these random, very short fps dips (they might even just be skipping frames?) in games where my GPU usage goes down to ~40% (from 90% in BF4) for just an instant. I stress tested the overclock with Prime95 for around 3 hours and it seemed stable and temperatures were generally 50-60C. This issue is occurring in every game I try, but is especially bad in BF4, where my CPU usage is also strangely high at 90-100%. I tried reverting all bios settings back to what they were before the overclock as well as increasing the voltage to 1.3v, but sadly the fps dips still occur. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. My components are: -i5 4690k -EVGA GTX 780 FTW -EVGA Supernova 650G PSU -Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 5 Motherboard -Coolermaster Nepton 280L Closed Loop Cooler -8GB (2 x 4GB) 1600 Mhz Adata XPG v2 RAM -Kingston SSDNow V300 128GB SSD
  10. My favorite thing about the M8 is having a bottom headphone jack, actually. That there are zero noteworthy Android phones (I've been an HTC fanboy for quite a few years) with bottom headphone jacks is why I still use an old iPod Touch lol. The build quality/aesthetics are of course exceptional as well, but I've come to expect that from HTC's phones. I honestly don't see why so many people still choose Samsung over HTC.
