  1. Thanks! maybe I'll put then double front intake and rear+top exhaust!
  2. I my setup: NZXT s340 elite Asus 3070 turbo arctic liquid cooler aio 280mm plus the rest. So the case has two front 140mm fans, one rear, and one top. Which one is better? 1. 2+2 fans in push+pull front (AIO) and 2 exhaust fans top and roof or 2. I drill a hole in roof, and put 280mm aio in pull mode on the roof + 2x140mm pull front fans and only one exhaust fan to rear. Is it better to have dedicated case fans for my GPU in conparison to having them pull/push the air for gpu thrue my cpu AIO?
  3. GPU: 3080 TUF OC or Radeon 6000 TBD CPU: R9 or R7 5900x/5800X TBD Mem: 2x16 G.skill Trident Z RGB 3600 16-16-16-36 B-die SSD: Aorus gen.4 m2. 1t PSU: 750w PRIME TX AIO: Liqud Freezer II 280 MOBO: some b550: I want to oc my gpu, cpu (and memory? is it worth?) I'm mainly looking at Strix B550-F, MSI EDGE and AORUS PRO A and TOMAHAWK, because all of them are about 160$-200$ I dont care about type-C USB or wifi. So, which one would be best, if I only think of overclocking? I'm having really hard time choosing one, but then again, I have time to decide until january, when I'm gonna buy my cpu and gpu. tomahawk is the only one in TIER S and PRO and B550-E are strong TIER A. All the MSI boards are capable of supporting max 3866mhz of ram in 1DPC 2R according to their own pages. The rest of the manufacturers are not giving that info out, but have similar max ram mhz rating, dont know what to take out of that :'D Then again EDGE and B550-E had the best thermals in Hardware unboxeds test in youtube (All Boards Tested B550 Roundup, Part 3 $180 - $300) Opinions about these? should I close some of these out? that would help a lot. Maybe if I could pick two and have to decide between them. Any advantages or disadvantages of any of these mobos in particular? Thanks in advance edit: F4-3600C16D-32GTZR Can't find my sticks from any QVL..
  4. oh yes, I was looking at the ATX version. But so far the only mobo, that has been qualified the samsung b-die RAM sticks I bought, is the msi mortar.. I dont know if I wanna pick a board that hasn't qualified those Is B550 Aorus pro worth the 10$ for more vrm, and worse wifi+bt and the risk for the RAM compability over b550m mortar?
  5. Will I actually have some benefits for having a full size ATX? vrm temps, better oc capability or something? I wont be needing the extra pci slots..

I will buy seasonic/Super flower and platinum/titanium. the max power peak would be less than 600w so 750 will be overkill already. (edit: PSU purchased) I will overclock my memory and cpu and probably gpu. What would you concider to be best mobo at price range $100-200. And the 3080 will be tuf OC or big navi, we'll see.
  7. 30 series Founders editions are pretty much as good as the others, but asus and msi hsve a bit better cooling, and FE cant be overclocked that much. asus 3080 tuf seems o be best value in gpu section.
  8. asus tuf, it has great vrm for oc, but if you want more features like debug lights and all, maybe msi unify, asrock taichi, strix gaming e. Watch buildzoids videos about x570 mobos, he knows everything about mobos and overclocking.
  9. I might actually change this to Asus tuf, their only differences are asus' realtek lan vs gigabytes intel, asus' better ram oc capability and in wifi versions, asus has bt5, gigabyte has bt 4.2 tbd, not sure yet, asus tuf, or something that costs 250-300$
  10. not that simple at all. you have to also look at the new architecture, cache, speed, and yes core count, but for gaming, dont need more cores
  11. ryzen 7 is enough, you dont need multicore performance for gaming. Just buy 3080 and ryzen 3700x or wait for ryzen 5000 series
  12. uhmm I dont get it.. I would still choose the gigabyte.. its still better for maybe 20€ more than E12?
  13. Budget (including currency): 170-300 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming and light editing Other details I will buy nvidia 3080 and Ryzen 5800x and cant decide if I need a better mobo or if aorus elite is enough. I will want to overclock my cpu, gpu and ram. What do you guys think, is it worth spending more than 200$ for a motherboard in a 2000$ setup? Is aorus pro worth it for 60$ more? Is 12+2 vrm enough? The aorus elite supports ram only to 4000mhz (oc) considering future proof. Should I concider buying Asus rog or asrock taichi for ~300$ ? Or should I spend that extra 100$ to upgrade from 5800x to 5900x? or for something else? At this time, I dont care if the mobo has wi-fi or not. I will use LAN cable for internet.
  14. phison E12 1tb is 144€ in EU, specs: 3450 MB/s read, 3150 MB/s write and 600K IOPS SM2262EN 1tb 140$ but also only 3500 MB/s read, 1200 MB/swrite and 220K/290K IOPS and gigabyte aorus gen4 nvme 1tb is 5000MB/s read and 4400MB/S write with 700K IOPS.. for 160$ How is gigabyte not better?
