  1. Problem in a nutshell: My mouse still moves fine but when I click things, they either don't click, or take like 15 seconds to respond. No apps can be opened / closed and when I try shutting down the PC with Windows button > Power > Shut Down which immediately sends me to the lock screen which then allows me to sign in, however, everything remains frozen. The only "solution" to this is holding down the power button on my PC so that it forces shut down, and then when I turn it back on, everything is normal again... until the next time it happens. There's something I noticed when this problem happens. So, I have a "rain" animation playing on my Corsair RAM (specs below), and I've noticed that the animation stops whenever the PC freezes like this. I was lucky enough to have the iCUE software open one time when this happened, and I noticed a red error symbol next to my RAM. I hovered over it and clicked it, but nothing popped up. Potentially a RAM problem? The RAM has been working fine so far and I even tried to make sure it was pushed in (which it is). This problem started a few weeks back and happens at least once every day at a random time (not usually doing anything intensive). One thing to note: I started Bitcoin mining around the time the problem started. I tried two apps, NiceHash and Salad, and I ran both for many hours a day. The freeze problem occurred when I was and wasn't mining. Frustrated by the problem, I uninstalled both mining softwares in case they were doing something, however the problem still occurs. I don't recall installing anything else around the time the problem began. Another thing to note is that this is a custom built (my first ever PC build, actually), so there could be a problem, however I didn't really cheap out on any specs. Here they are: -Ryzen 5 3600 -32GB-3200MHz (2x16) Corsair Vengeance rgb Pro -Asus X570-Plus TUF Gaming -970 Evo 1TB -Gigabyte RTX 2060 OC 6GB -Corsair CXM 650W psu I really hope someone can help me resolve this problem, it's getting extremely annoying now!
  2. So about a month ago, I built my new PC. I used the Asus TUF Gaming x570 motherboard. When I first connected my PC to ethernet in my room's port and did a speed test, I got around 950mbps download and upload, as we have the gigabit plan. That was normal. However, about 2-3 weeks later, I did another speed test and the speeds suddenly dropped to about 150mbps download and 200mbps upload. I don't understand how this could be possible. I don't recall downloading anything that could affect the adapter in my motherboard. I am sure there isn't anything wrong with the cable, as I tried the same cable, same port, on my dad's Macbook Pro and he was getting around 950mbps speeds. Some more information: It is a CAT6 port and my motherboard has the Realtek Gaming GBe Family Controller. Things I tried: Checking for driver updates Testing same cable, same port on another computer. Changing to 1Gbp/s full duplex in adapter settings Virus scan But still the same, slow speeds. Any solutions?
