  1. i have a great deal for you if you are looking for something really really cheap: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33029748040.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.1a534c4dVwkuaC although you might wanna change the cpu in that combo and buy a better one, this should get you started but aliexpress is not reliable by any chance, but from my experience buying this board, i had no problem and i was able to overclock the ram over what it is certified for
  2. i would probably ask between 500$-600$ depending on the local market prices, but i would highly recommend you sell it before the new cpus and gpus release, as your computer value will decrease after the release of the new products
  3. im not shocked as most gaming laptops do get hot, but replacing the thermal paste will definitly help, especially if you are using a high quality one, which can increase the longevity of that cpu, and maybe even increase performance if it was thermal throttling
  4. unfortunatly, he cant upgrade the power supply as it is a proprietary psu, and i highly doubt he will find a reliable one that fits inside his pc yes, the gtx 750ti is your best option, gt 710 is not gonna be enough at all to play even some esport games, but the problem is finding one the small form factor, as they are really expensive compared to the normal sized gtx 750ti
  5. depends on what you use,if you need single-core horsepower, i would recommend what other people mentioned, but if you are looking for THE value motherboard combo, check this deal i bought before on aliexpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33029748040.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.38044c4dE52NvR to give you a perspective of how cheap that deal is, the athlon 3000g costs about the same as that combo, but be careful, as the cpu it includes (e5 2420) has 6 cores, but only at 1.9ghz, so single-core applications may not be great for this combo, but it is worth checking out
  6. ryzen 7 is good at handling rendering, but i would recommend waiting until the new cpus and gpus release as they could be better suited for your tasks, and even if you dont want to buy the new released stuff, previous generation cpus and gpus will become cheaper which should allow you to spend on something like better cpu or more ram
  7. i would recommend waitng for the new cpus and gpus, even if you arent going to buy the new suff, prices of older generaton cpus and gpus will be cheaper after the release
  8. yeah i do think it is too good, i think it is better to buy something i know works rather than risking my money
  9. so i was browsing aliexpress for getting deals, and this seemingly motherboard combo caught my attention, it included a xeon e5 2420(6 cores 12 threads), motherboard, 8gb ddr3 ecc ram, for 55$, kinda sounded too good to be true, atleast compared to the local prices here in my country, i would like to see what you guys think about it, as im ready to buy it, but dont want to pull the trigger before knowing what im buying. oh also the shipping is free link: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33029748040.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.14504c4dJFgbjU also this is my first ever post on linustechtips.com, so dont be surprised if i do mistakes
