  1. I was limited to a laptop for the previous four years, since my old pc gave up. Life isn't great at all times mate. Maybe I know what's RAID, maybe I used it. Maybe I worked with it, and with centralised data backups, and with crazy technologies like Hewlett Packard Indigo, for example. Maybe I've done a lot of great things, and I'm just having a long bad patch now. Not really a reason to presume I need tutoring and such tone. Maybe not everyone has same opportunities at the same time. Best regards to you. Thanks for the advice.
  2. Thanks mate. Nice nature photos. I agree about the car in the back, tho I don't have original RAW files since I had a major data loss beginning of the year.
  3. I see your canyon, and it's good. I really like how the horizon seems tilted. Here's a £200.000 1957 190SL Mercedes Benz to get there. Shot on Nikon d5100 with the kit 18-55 lens.
  4. I was aware of this issue, and I'm pretty sure it's done like that to relieve the PS system/servers. Hopefully, we'll see that changed in years to come - because it's really malpractice. They don't stop you from removing your info, but they're perfectly aware that it makes the use of the platform tedious if you do. < removed by moderation > As I stated above, it would be unreasonable. It would literally lead to membership blackmail.
  5. Yes, I agree - and I have to agree. But that's more of a cultural problem, and a social problem (even when taking the entire human population as "global village"). I just tried to give more valid insight into what's not possible to do and what's being done - the later being addressed in the second part of the e-mail, where they explained actions undertaken and currently active.
  6. Simple answer: Because every country needs to regulate it on it's own, and public should address anything illegal to authorities if needed. But here's more meaningful insight directly from The European Commission, obtained via e-mail conversation. Also, if needed, I have the formal permit to post this reply publicly:
  7. Check if you have a proxy set in Windows, it can cause that problem (and proxy can be set by a malware). How to get to proxy setup screen Here's how a normal settings look by default:
  8. DroidCam App for using your mobile device as a webcam, available for Windows and iOS. Minimum to not noticeable lag, depending on devices used and network. Quite good both for conference calls or even using it in OBS for streaming on Twitch, YouTube etc. From all the apps I've tried with the same functionality, this one is the most satisfying. NOTE: To access 720p quality, and camera controls directly from an app - you need to buy the premium version for about $5 USD. NOTE 2: When you buy the premium version, you need to direct the PC app to switch to the HD mode and it requires reboot. NOTE 3: I recommend keeping the mobile device plugged in, and to pay attention to unavoidable heating up of the device due to camera working over prolonged periods of time.
  9. SpaceDesk If, for any reason, you need to extend your desktop to a mobile device (phone, tablet...) this free app is the GoTo in my experience. It is available both for Android and iOS devices. (PLEASE NOTE: There are some compatibility issues with the latest AMD drivers, as it can be seen in the "Download" section on the main page, read carefully what the developer has to say) The app offers both connectivity over Local Network Interfaces and Remote Network Connections. It is pretty straightforward to use, and it is nice for those who want to export instruments from their flight sim to another screen, or use their 10" tablet as a preview window for editing video, or a drawer to put aside all those pesky dockers in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign...
  10. You can use WPS office that is fully compatible with MS Office files. You'll get bothered by a few ads, but it's functional otherwise.
