When you can't adjust the highs for one speaker…

Well, I bought most of my stuff for relatively cheap. The philips EQ block were under 30$ each, the yamaha one was 50$ and for the amps /marantz, denon and philips/ around 190$. The PA amps were new and costed me 15$ each, and they are only for bass. And another 120$ for the mixers. The speakers are whole other story. My setup is strange one as I have 3 separate sub woofers. It should be counted as 6.3 I guess. I have been building it slowly for the last 10 years. Now I have enough power to be heard as far as 6 floors from my apartment. But I don`t use it like that. It`s just that many years ago I realised that to have live and dynamic sound at very low levels is not possible unless there is enough power behind the system producing it. And because I mostly watch movies normal stereo system is out of question. The usual AIO 5.1 systems relying on a single receiver were not enough for the sound I was in search for.

I had similar problems before. I resolved them all by using multiple amps for each speaker with full EQ control on each channel.
  4. I devote my time mostly to watching anime series, but when I`m at work I can only read stuff. хD So I started reading since last spring. I`m open for recommendations. /this is my current list /
  5. 5V=2A - then you should look for a hub with at least 2 amps. /I guess 9V are for the fast charge/ But there is a catch. You see, almost all phones nowadays doesn`t charge if they are under medium to heavy load. And I don`t know if that is the case with yours. If it is then even if you get a hub with proper power supply you will not get any output.
  6. The main thing you should be aware of is how much current would your phone need for a proper charge. So this means hub with external power supply with at least 1 amp. Otherwise you can do some damage to the mobo.
  7. also this :3 ================ I just saw this Now I`m looking like this
  8. Now think what if they are in a country about 9000 kilometers away from there... In uncontrolled environment, working in delta 46*C in the summer and under 15*C in the winter. Under a power supply for ~30$. Within various humidity levels up to the point of random condensation. We can talk fudge all day long. But the only relevant thing that is of interest is what brand is good enough for its money. I say mostly WD. Using the proper variety for the purposes ofc.
  9. Me too, for about 12, but this is not the point. You should realize how big the world is and stats from somewhere are not valid for everywhere else. For example In my country with usually unstable main AC power in just about every home (the grid is old af) and people getting cheap power supplies en masse often result in f* up drives, mobos and even cpu`s. UPS is unknown word for the most of the people. p.s. Excuse my english as I use it way to rarely. My grammar is probably on the google translate level...
  10. Then you have not been working with enough computers. I have seen fails from about every brand out there. This is why I only care about useful warranty. For example I got two WD Green 500GB back in the days and they failed in about a month before the end of their warranty. WD surprised me with replacement in two WD Blue drives. I sold them afterwards because I needed larger space. At one point in time I had over 6TB in my pc. (yep, there are people with way, way more drives, but I had over 5TB filled with porn... xD)
  11. Yep, they were the best choice back in the time. Up until the 500GBs model and above. I still have two 80GB working, after 12, or is it 13 years, hmm. I have to check. Nowadays is WD or HGST for less risk. And backup everything of importance. At least twice.
  12. Yeah, about that. There is no such thing as no risk. There are way too many stats but the truth is only one. Any hard disk can break at any point in time. And being model for hundreds of dollars or super cheap one is of no importance. The way to choose nowadays is by liking it. Has it got the necessary volume, speed and interface - then buy it. About the pricey return - this is why I don`t buy pc parts online. But I guess this is not the best way for everyone. In this case go with WD, after many years of reading hundreds of forums and blogs most of the people have luck with them. In my case I use SG (even though I knew it was bad choice, but it was cheaper at the time), my first one failed in just 7 days, so I got my replacement and it`s still alive after 3 years, although I`m using it for torrents nonstop (over 100TB traffic for now).
  13. I just saw this at 9gag saying "I wonder why". The one who posted it thinks that anime is to blame for this. I`m in the same position and I`m let see, about 33. But clearly that dude doesn`t understand the fact that some of us are broken and the anime is the only thing that keeps us alive. In my case I started to watch extensive amounts when I was around 22. Near 19 000 episodes later my life is not better. But I have just enough will to go through the day and to watch new series.
  14. Have you ever thought of a ransomware as cute? Now is the time.
  15. That would be interesting twist, wouldn't it. ;3
  16. Our president did the same thing couple of years ago, but it`s one thing to rule a nation with 1/4 of the people living in NY and whole other story with hundreds of millions of people. So much shame.
  17. The difference between 2K and 4K resolution is obvious, I used him as example for being able to tolerate such crazy screen area from this close. And from what I have seen in many other people videos with ultra wide screens as for the one mentioned by you I draw the conclusion that should be good enough. Still I`m not you nor I`m a doctor to daresay how your eyes will take it.
  18. Well I recall watching more than a few people using large monitors at such short distance and no one of them complaining. Btw we are not really crazy, for example Zeos is using 43"@4K at probably not more than 50cm. away from his eyes. So yeah. As for being curved - the idea is that your eyes should got the same distance from any angle therefore relief strain from the eyes. But I don`t have one to say something more usefull.
