  1. That's good news. Is there a setting I need to enable in bios or is that automatic?
  2. Hello everyone, just want to pick your brain and ask for opinions regarding upgrading my laptops ram. It currently have 8GB of ram running dual channel with a Ryzen 5 2500U. It should be a decent daily use laptop for Uni but it would help having a bit more RAM. The only issue is that, with Lenovo's wisdom they soldered a 4gb ram and has a single so-dimm slot that is populated with another 4gb stick. Additionally as this laptop has an APU 1GB is allocated to the RAM, so all in all only 6.9gb is available for ram use. So if change the ram with anything apart for a 4gb stick, it will run single channel as they are not matching anymore. Would have been better is they soldered an 8gb ram with an empty slot. Just wondering how slower will it make my CPU if I run it single channel? Planning to get a 16gb stick; that will total to 20gb of ram but running single channel.
  3. Mine is running. I have sound as I am using my audio interface at output, but onboard soundcard is not detected.
  4. I have a problem with my motherboard onboard sound card. Windows out of blue is unable to detect it. It was working fine initially, but I have not been using it for a while as I connected my speakers through the monitor then through an audio interface via USB. However, one day just tried to connect my headphones through the front jack I was surprised pup out did not come out. Checked the Reaktek audio console it was saying it does not support this machine. Checked device manager and onboard sound card was not there. Checked hidden driver was still there but looked like it was disconnected. Reinstalled driver still nothing. Removed other audio drivers for the audio interface and my headphone usb dongle except for the nvidia audio driver, it still did not show up. Also tried to disable and enable onboard sound card in bios still nothing. I also tried to reset bios nothing. I updated Bios as asus released a new bios this month still not showing up. My motherboard is an ASUS TUF B550m Plus WIFI II. Bought it new from amazon about 3-4 months ago. Tried to contact asus but replied, my board was a grey market item and did not have manufacturers warranty. I dont really know what is wrong and if i should just return it to amazon. Also thinking trying to reinstall windows as the number or audio devices I have might be conflicting with it.
  5. That temp was when it just booted up. Temp goes down to low 50 sometimes high 40. In game I believe it just hovers around 75-80c I have not checked though. Will try to run games with HWinfo on. Just not using HWinfo as much.; It sometimes causes issues with icue. icue problems I believe. I think its mainly my case as well. Having TG covering the fans, even with the space corsair gives is still not enough. With the same setup, was running cooler using corsair 220T airflow. Really like the looks of the crystal 280x though, that's why I switched. You get what you deserve really, when you prioritize aesthetics over performance. lol
  6. Had problems booting in to windows with 3533. I'm only running it now at 3266 and is stable for now. Still better than running it at stocks speeds of I think 2400. I'll take what I can. Maybe next time I'll just look for two sticks with dummy modules just for the aesthetics. lol
  7. Yeah it does work with just 2 sticks. But really would like to use 4. Found a middle ground. Was able to enable it albeit at a lower frequency. Now running 3533mhz. Better than the stock 2200.
  8. I have a Ryzen 5 5600x on a Asus TUF B550m Plus WIFI II with 32gb 8gbx4 kit corsair vengeance PRO RGB ram at 3600mhz. Every time I enable DOCP bios would but to safe mode. When I restart it would boot it normally and in BIOS says DOCP enabled but in windows ram are running at stock speeds. Tried to reseat ram, swapped ram around and then reset bios still the same. Tried just using 2 sticks it works no issues but with all 4 sticks together boots back to safe mode. I am on the latest bios version. Hopefully somebody can help me. Thanks
  9. So got the reBar enabled. Reset bios and enabled setting one by one. I think it was DOCP being unstable and booting bios in safe mode after enabling all my settings in bios. It did not save my setting. Now ram wont set DOCP. Ram now running on stock speeds. Every time I enable DOCP bios goes into safe mode and does not save DOCP.
  10. Just wanted to know how is my CPU and coolant temps are normal. I have a Ryzen 5 5600X on an Asus TUF B550M Plus wifi II motherboard and cooled by corsair H100i Platinum se 240mm AIO. On idle temps are between 50-60c less than 5% load according to icue. Coolant temps is around 32-35c. My case is the corsair crystal 280x and have x2 QL 120 in front as intake x2 QL 120 on top as exhaust through rad and x1 ML 140 on side panel behind MB as intake. Cant really add more fans as GPU is too big to fit any more fans at the bottom of case. Was thinking as well to fit rad in front have give it fresh air from outside the case, but I think it would be too close to my GPU or might not even fit. Is the CPU and coolant temp normal? Additionally, could it be the case causing higher temps? I know those temps are reasonable and within spec; I was just expecting the system to run cooler with the aio.
  11. That is the VBIOS and I have updated it already. I ran it again this time just in case but installer says GPU does not need update. Motherboard bios is the latest version as well.
  12. Need help with enabling resize bar. Had changed motherboard and system SSD. Cloned my ssd with arconis and updated all my bios settings. Although every time I change bios settings it boots into bios safe mode, but after a reset it boots in normally with all setting saved. However, when checking nvidia setting resizable bar is not enabled. I have the latest vbios and was able to enable it prior to hardware changes. OS is in UEFI mode and secure boot is enabled and have updated graphics drivers already still dont work. I have tried to reset bios setting to recommended settings and updated all settings then changed it to my settings. Still not getting enabled. Had the same issue before and had to reinstall windows. I don't want to go through all that hassle as of now. Hoping someone can help me solve this. Im running a ryzen 5 5600x on an ASUS TUF B550m plus wifi II with 32gb corsair vengeance RGB pro 3600mhz DOCP enabled and AMD precision boost overdrive enabled. My GPU is the ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 3070 v2. I was able to have reBar enabled prior to MB and SSD swap with the same settings. My ssd is a WD black nvme m.2 PCIe gen3x4 256gb.
  13. So figured it out. Clear secure boot keys then installed new ones. Now booting up no issues. Thanks for the reply.
  14. Just got 4x8 32gb kit to upgrade my 4x2 16gb ram, however when I installed the ram, secure boot signature error shows up. PC errors and cycles before booting to bios. Reinstalled original 4x8 16gb ram works no problem. What do I do to stop this error?
  15. Im sure it would work. What keyboard are you using though? try a different keyboard perhaps. MW2 with keyboard and mouse should technically work. Though keyboard support on consoles are pathetic. Rogue Company before had unofficial support for keyboard and mouse. They deliberately remove it saying it had problems but it did not, til now it does note support keyboard and mouse even though it is cross-play compatible. Consoles only have a handful of games that support keyboard and mouse.
  16. That is a good idea, however would not want to go through the head ache of using linux. I know its much better these days but planning to use it at a full daily driver and would not want something that I would troubleshoot half the time. And I don't have much experience with linux apart from a few public computers back in college.
  17. Yeah, thats what I was thinking, but have to make the most of what I have at the moment. I'll think about updating to Catalina. Been doing well so far with Mojave, apart from the application issues. Will probably give it a try if I hit another road block. With windows I have MacOs setup already, and would like to experience Mac for now. Will get a full PC in the future, hopefully.
  18. Good day good people of LTT forums. Im generally a Windows person, Unfortunately due to a change in continent and being an adult now; I have not acquired a PC "yet". At the moment I'm stuck with my girlfriend's old 13 inch Macbook Pro retina late 2012 model which has an i5 ivy bridge I think, 8gb ram wanted to upgrade this to 16 but apple being apple soldered the damn thing and originally had a 128gb ssd which I upgraded to 256gb with another apple thing a proprietary SSD "rant". Now to my question, I'm contemplating which version of macOS I should use with the hardware I have. It was running the latest supported with Catalina, but since downgraded to Mojave post SSD upgrade. What would you guys suggest? It was running with Catalina, though pretty sluggish. I only plan to use the laptop for Lightroom and if God willing some light video editing. Mojave is now running quit snappy, however been having issues with some software as most only supports Catalina or higher. Had to do some digging to find older version of the software that would run in Mojave. Even with Logitech options; had a hard time scrounge the internet for an older version as the links on Logitech sites was not working. Anyway, Thank you in advance for anyone who would give any suggestions. Good day and God bless to everyone. IMG_0137.HEIC
  19. I got a reply from the manufacturer, they asked for my serial number then sent me a driver installation package. However, this was not helpful as it did not include the touch screen driver. Tried multiple factory resets and clean windows installs, then ran their driver package. It installed almost all of the drivers except for the touchscreen; It just left it as an unknown device. Tried to update it from windows updates, still it installed the goodix driver that does not work. Fully updated windows to the latest version with the goodix driver, still the same. Had multiple emails back and forth with the manufacturer, they then concluded it was a hardware issue; but I don’t think it is. Laptop was working fine until i tried to switch to chromeOS reflex, but had to revert back to windows as chrome did not have drivers for the wifi and the touch screen. After reformatting laptop and reinstalling windows, thats when the issue with the touch screen arise. We’re you able to solve this issue with your laptop?
  20. Was this issue fixed? Email Geo no reply. I have the same problem, touch screen not working and randomly registers touch inputs. Hopefully someone can help.
  21. Is anyone playing dragon quest builders 2? I know my GPU is not that powerful I'm Running an MSI Armour Rx 570 4GB OC edition. But during gameplay I reach up to 80c on my card. All on factory OC of 1268 core clock and 1750 memory frequency and stock fan curve. Overclocked it to core clock 1350 and 2000 for memory ,undervolted it and ran an aggressive custom fan curve got it to mid to high 60's. It was just baffling to me, as the game dies not seem to have a very detailed graphics. Anyone experience this? or was just me? TIA
  22. Thanks for the reply. It would be a hassle swapping it out though. Ill try selling this board if someone would get it, just bought it this month. Should have done more research. Chose the Tuf as I have a tuf Tforce Delta ram RGB ram and thought it only supports Asus aurasync. Dug deeper and saw it also works with Asrock Polychrome. I blame team groups product page. lol
  23. So just upgraded my motherboard from an MSI A320M Pro VD/S to an ASUS Tuf b450m Pro Gaming, however I'm having buyers remorse as I saw the Asrock b450m Steel Legend looking bad ass as well as having an ARGB 3pin 5v socket and better audio outputs. Which do you think is better? specially in terms of VRM performance. Though I'm only using a Ryzen 5 1400,but planning to swap it out in the future with a ryzen 5 3600. https://www.asrock.com/mb/amd/b450m steel legend/ https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/TUF-B450M-PRO-GAMING/
