  1. Thanks for the replies! SATA mode is already set to AHCI and the hard drive was not in the laptop when I installed Windows.
  2. Hey guys, A few days ago I replaced the hard drive in a Dell Inpiron 3537 with a Samsung 840 EVO and I did a clean install of Windows 8.1 64bit. When I try to boot it says no boot device found or it gives me the error code 0xc0000185. The SSD is correctly recognised in the bios and Windows Boot Manager is listed under boot options. I have already reinstalled Windows 8.1 a couple of times, I even tried installing Windows 7 with a retail disc but Windows 7 didn't work either. Also, if I put the hard drive back, it does work, so the laptop isn't broken, but the SSD doesn't seem to be broken either (cheked SMART with Samsung Magician Software, put the SSD in an other inspiron 3537 and it worked and checked for dead sectors but found none). What do you guys think? What could be the problem? Thanks for your help!
  3. Hey guys, Today I finally upgraded my Gigabyte GTX 650 to an Asus GTX 970. It does work very well, but only after the PC finally starts up. When I turn the PC on, the BIOS splash screen comes up and I hear one short beep, which according to the manual means no problems detected, but nothing happens. The splash screen remains there, but I can't do anything, can't even enter the BIOS. After about 20-30 seconds there's another short beep. There are a total of 4 beeps, 20-30 seconds from each other. On the 4th beep my screen goes black and comes back after a few seconds with Windows loaded. I removed the GPU and connected my monitor to the integrated intel GPU and it worked perfectly. Put the 970 back, same as before. I already reset the CMOS with the onboard pins but that didn't solve the problem either. Do you guys have any idea?
