  1. I've tried to find a guide online that explains what those dials mean and how to best tweak them. Once I get the new PSU, I want to squeeze every bit of fps out of the card. But I'm not sure what frequency is, what volts do... If you know of a detailed explanation somewhere or guide, please point me in that direction.
  2. So I'm still a newb with OC/Undervolting. Trying to figure out how to do it. Youtube videos help to a degree but don't really know what I'm doing beyond copying their numbers. Currently, I have the power limit down 50%. This is an XFX Radeon 5700 XT RAW II (from BestBuy) The settings look like this:
  3. I think you were right. As were all the other replies. I lowered power to -50% and had no issue. Some micro-stutters in Kingdom Come Deliverance but that's it. No crashing or complete freezes.
  4. Thanks everyone. I ordered a new PSU (Thermaltake Toughpower DPS G 650W Digital 80+ Gold) that's rated A on the PSU list. Hopefully this will solve everything. I also ordered a GTX 2060 Super from Amazon, cause it was actually cheaper than the 5700XT. We'll see which one I keep. I like the Radeon software ease of use and don't care super hard about ray tracing, but maybe it might end up like a big deal in the future so maybe the GTX is more future-proof? Dunno. I'll update when the PSU arrives if the XT situation is fixed so that anyone searching in the future might see this.
  5. Question, wouldn't dropping the power target cause more issues? If the card isn't getting enough power...
  6. I'm going to try to replace the PSU, though I've had it for over 5 years without incidents. Sadly the market is like my grocery store toilet paper aisle - emptied out. My previous GPU was GTX 1060 6GB. Running games and benchmarks without issue (just lower fps than I want lol) on the GTX currently so it's not the computer itself unless the PSU isn't strong enough for the 5700 XT. Also I'll add everything I could find was updated to the very latest driver and bios lol. Including the GPU bios. I was shocked to see two different cards had the same issue, it's making me think it has to be an incompatibility somewhere. Unless so many 5700 XTs are complete garbage which I doubt. There's been some really glowing reviews...
  7. Upgraded my PC. Installed a new CPU, motherboard, RAM and GPU. Kept my SSD, HDD, PSU, case and fans. Now, the GPU drops suddenly to 0% and my games freeze. Sometimes ALT-Tabbing fixes it and sometimes not. Lately, it goes all black and Windows restarts. Included Screenshots of two of the times it happened (2 different brand GPUs) Computer Type: Desktop, custom. GPU: XFX - AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT RAW II 8GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 Graphics Card with Zero dB - and also - MSI - MECH OC AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 CPU: Ryzen 5 3600. Motherboard: ASUS TUF B450M-PLUS GAMING. RAM: 16GB (2x8). G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600). Slotted into A2 and B2. PSU: A-Power AK 850W 20+4-pin ATX PSU w/SATA & PCI-Express Case: NZXT, 2 front fans, 1 top fan, 1 back fan. Operating System & Version: Windows 10 GPU Drivers: 20.4.2 and 20.5.1 (tried both) Description of Original Problem: I installed my AMD Ryzen 5 3600, a new motherboard (ASUS TUF B450M-PLUS GAMING) and the XFX AMD Radeon 5700 XT Raw II. I was playing Kingdom Come Deliverance and it started freezing. My GPU was at 99%. I didn't have any freezes on my previous system with a GeForce, so I know it's not the game. Then I did 3DMark, the Time Spy benchmark. During the graphics test, it froze again. Again the GPU was at 99, it dropped at 0-1. This is a fresh install of Windows. Radeon driver version 20.4.2. The freezes happened before and after GPU BIOS updates. They don't happen in the same spots. Lately, it either drops to 0% or it full on goes black and Windows restarts. I no longer can play KC. It crashes and restarts. Troubleshooting: Installed the newest drivers. Used two different cables from PSU to bring power to the GPU (originally had one cable with both an 8pin and a 6pin) - no change. Bought a different 5700 XT (the MSI) and tested it. The issues happen on both GPUs. Reflashed BIOS and set it to default. Reinstalled Windows Reinstalled the games and benchmarks. Disabled High Precision Event Timer (suggested on some forum)
