  1. I have a 650W china cracker PSU... so I truly need a new one. My case at the moment is mATX. Yeah this seems familiar with the Upgrade-PC from the Link I posted. So I guess it is fairly valued? Thank you for your help!
  2. Budget (including currency): round about 500 - 600€, the less the better Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: League of Legends, Trackmania2020, getting into streaming (casually not professionally) + usual desktop usage (MS Office e.g.) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Upgrading from: CPU: Xeon E3-1231 v3 @3,4 Ghz 4 Core Server CPU GPU: Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5 MBD: ASRock H97M Pro4 RAM: 16 GB DDR3 dual channeling KINGSTON 1600MHz (? im not sure...) SSD: Random Intenso 480 GB SATA HDD: Random HDD 1 TB SATA, I dont even know the manufacturer of... no extra peripherals needed, I already have a dual monitor setup and a nice microphone-setup with an external mic amp. Hello dear forum, I have a real luxury problem. I bought my computer from a good friend a few years ago and now I notice more and more that especially the CPU is not keeping up. In games that are affectionately called toaster games (for example League of Legends, CS:GO, and the like) I bump suspiciously often to 100% CPU utilization with lower and lower fps over time. Since I don't play any particularly GPU-heavy games, I plan to keep my RX 580, also due to the budget. I found an upgrade PC at the following link that I'm very interested in. However, I'm not very familiar with market prices and don't want to buy an overpriced PC out of stupidity.... Can anyone help me and tell me if this is a good or fair offer? Furthermore, I plan to keep my SSD and HDD. Can anyone give me a tip on how best migrate them into a new PC, as I need the data from both disks urgently and reliably! Thank you, I try to answer questions as soon as possible!
  3. actually cant tell. I have like 0 knowledge of drive and partitioning
  4. watched it already. Did not end up helping me. Guess i am stuck with my legacy BIOS issue.
  5. To make this short and simple: I want to dual boot PopOS but can't even install it. I'm currently running my win10 and if I set up all the partitions needed, I can't choose a boot partition. It will keep telling me that "EFI is not on GPT disk" Gonna be completely honest and admit I have no clue what to do and I don't understand most of the terms (native German PogChamp). So in the picture you can see my problem. Any advice appreciated as always. Thanks a lot. PS: Yes. I tried to choose another drive or partition and still doesn't work. And yes I am using the latest version.
  6. Basically I followed a YouTube guide and everything was fine, but now I cant create a boot partition. It says "EFI partition is not on a GPT disk". I have no clue what to do and couldn't find any good fixes. Help appreciated
  7. The RX 5500 XT seems a bit overkill if you go for this budget rig. You may experience a bottleneck...
  8. so no need of a third party software? That is good news.
  9. I want to try it too. I mean I dont play like trippleA games anyways. I only play games like League of Legends And I think it can be a huge boost in simplicity, since windows offers sometimes just... too much (I HATE the microsoft store...)
  10. So just slam the pop os iso on a usb drive, change the boot device to the usb drive, install the os and I am ready to go? And how am I able to change the OS then? Do I have to enter the BIOS and change the partition I want to boot from? Is this even possible? Thanks for the fast reply.
  11. What the title says is 100% what you get. So I'm using Windows since I got born into this gorgeous digital world. And that is fine and I got used to it fast. Right now I'm sitting in front of my win10 machine and finished watching some LTT videos. Of cause. So here is the part, why I did this post. I want to try Linux. Especially Pop OS. For my PC build, you can have a look at my profile. (I have not figured out, how to put them below my post as a signature. ) There are some problems. I couldn't find any convenient video which shows how to install Linux and have windows installed at the same time. I want to choose the OS when I start my PC. Also, I want to install Pop OS onto my HDD, on a dedicated partition. So if you guys can provide me with a step by step guide, I'd be very happy. I hope you can understand my shenanigans. Stay safe.
  12. I am using a DRAM less SSD and he is using a WD HDD I updated Bios not long ago due a graphic issue...
  13. Dont think so. Im using a ASRock H97M Pro4 and cpuz confirmed the dual channel mode
  14. I use a RX 580 with 8 Gb of GDDR5 from Sapphire Nitro+ slightly OC He uses a slightly OCed GTX 1050 (my old card)
