I have an older Pelco DX8100 DVR that i'm tinkering with and want to upgrade the DDR2 memory from a single 512MB to two 1tb sticks, which is an approved upgrade according to Pelco. They come stock with Hynix ram. Looking at the Hynix website, i see compatible ram listed as Lead Free and Halogen Free. I found one website that ran a long term reliability test bed using both and one conclusion they came to was that "Halogen-free test vehicles had early failures for all components and appear to have reliability issues." My question is has anyone had personal experiences with the Lead Free versus the Halogen Free ram? Any difference between performance and longevity? https://www.ipc.org/system/files/technical_resource/E8%26S07_03.pdf

The Only Sunbeam 5.25 Bay Cigarette Lighter build of 2023?

I had a Escort radar detector that required a 12 volt power supply to perform updates. Basically that meant dragging a laptop out to the vehicle. That item right there would have allowed me to power up and update the detector right from my desktop. -
Yes, if the tip is not damaged or worn.

Maybe you should ask this recent OP how he feels about getting hacked by someone like you most likely doing the same thing you are....

Incorrect. #2 is a standard Philips size

I've vaped next to my build for 3 years and never found "sticky residue" when dusting it out. The whole idea is just made up BS.

That's like saying you knowingly drove someone to a bank to rob it, but because you didn't physically walk into the bank and participate in the actual robbery and were only the getaway driver, you shouldn't go to jail if caught.

See that small indentation just below the top of the black cylinder? That's a crimp point holding the top seal cap (that retains the silver rod) in place which also makes the silver rod non removable. -
I've often wondered this about people who live in apartment complexes that have no onsite charging capability. Take a major metropolitan apartment complex with a capacity of well over a thousand people. Now times that with the number of apartment complexes in that metropolitan city. Then times that with the number of apartment complexes per the total of apartment complexes in any given Country. All with no onsite charging capabilities. Yeah... the numbers of a substainable world of EV's doesn't add up. Oh, by the way... over 38 million Americans live in some sort of an apartment... https://roberthancockco.com/11-fun-facts-of-apartment-living-in-america/

I'd buy two of them. One to **** in, The other to cover it up.

I've got two EVGA 1080ti FTW2 linking up behind a i7-9800X on a X299 motherboard. And Windows 11 compatible. Beast is an understatement.

That makes absolutely no sense. The PSU has it's own spot in the case next to the drive trays.

It uses a standard 2.5" sata drive. -
Last year Apple bought the rights to several Peanuts holiday specials including.... It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, and A Charlie Brown Christmas and pulled it off the air waves absolutely destroying a 60 plus year old American tradition of watching these specials during the holidays for millions of people and their children. Sure, they were kind enough to offer it on stream for free for a couple of days... Thanks you heartless bastards. FUCK APPLE.

I find it funny that a group can use a term within their circle, but let an outside group use that same term or reference and it is automatically deemed derogatory by the first group. Next thing you know, the outside group are now being referred to by the first group in a derogatory manner as racist homophonic farm boys.

To put it simply... If you have a surgery planned and don't inform your employer, who may require certain information and a return to work slip from the doctor citing any or no work restrictions, and you re-injure yourself at work in the same area that you had your surgery on, you could not only loose any workman comp claims and benefits, but you could loose your job. Your employer deserves just as much protection from the liabilities of workplace injuries as you do. I don't see the big problem with informing your employer of any and all surgical procedures.

Brought home a laptop from work, a 2005 Dell Inspiron 6400 running Windows XP Pro and upgraded the two 512mb ram sticks with a couple of 2gb modules. That and cloned the failing original 80gb hard drive over to a 1tb SSD. So much faster now. Yeah, i know... It's old and obsolete. But so is the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system at work that the laptop is used on to program, repair and reinstall software. Software that will only run on either Windows 2000nt or Windows XP Pro. So until work decides to upgrade to at least Micro logistics, i have to keep the ole laptop's heart beating. -

What a bunch of Karen's. It's not going to burst into flames. -
They missed the point because they are fixated on if it's a year out of date, it worthless outdated hardware that practically won't even boot. It's so obvious the OP repaired an obviously very old GPU and benchmarked just for kicks. But then his post flys right over the heads of the "if it's not the latest and greatest" crowd who then begin to belittle the OP. For some reason they can't comprehend that some of us like to play around with older hardware as a challenge to find it's limitations. They are just comfortable with push the button and it runs.
