  1. This would take couch gaming to the next level! now i just need to buy a razer turret och corsair lapdog!
  2. I have tried restarting, and I already knew about the vram being stuck at 8gb,but 80 % sounds acceptable, thanks for the answers!
  3. I use eyefinity so it's with bezel correction at 6048x1080
  4. Hi i recently posted a topic on this forum and got some great responses, the question was that i had low fps on my rig even with a 290x, it turned out it didn't have anything to do with the vram which was why i bought the card, the coreclock was the reason, i fired up msi afterburner and it showed that the Gpu was at 100% and that was what was "bottlenecking" my games, so my question is if i were to buy another 290x 8gb what kind of perfomance increase would i see? why am i asking? the motherbaord only have 1 pcie 3.0 16x slot and one pcie 2.0 16x but the website says if one were to use crossfire it would be running in 4x... I just started overclocking the card and starting to get closer to the performance i would like but it just wont cut it.... Link to the old post: http://linustechtips...0x-8gb-low-fps/ My specs are: Motherboard: Asus b85 Pro gamer CPU: i5 4440 GPU: 290X 8GB RAM: 8gb 1600 mhz OS: Windows 8.1 pro Any help is appreciated!
  5. OH sorry I meant to type that the Gpu is at a 100% not the Cpu, the cpu is barely at 50% at each core so there is as you said no bottleneck in from the cpu

  7. Witch everything maxed out with far cry 4 i got these results: GPU1 : 77 C, 100% MEM1 : 3464 MB D3D11: 39.1 FPS CPU1: 36% CPU2:47% CPU3:59% CPU4:28% RAM: 3135 MB Why is the GPU at 100% is it the core clock that limits me?
  8. I just noticed that the frame barely drop when i go from 1920x1080 (one monitor) to 6048x1080(eyefinity with bezel correction) if that gives anyone a clue of whats going on...
  9. Thanks! definitely gonna try that one! The games are: Far cry 4, dragon age inquisition and grid 2 (Grid 2 did see a slight increase though but not alot)
  10. Mainly for 4k in the future and to be sure the three omnitors wont get held back
  11. I just got my new Card home and plugged it in and tried some games and thats were i got dissappointed ... I used to use a 280x 3gb on my three 1080p monitors in eyefinity but felt the 3gb just wasnt enough to power all three monitors at the same time, but after i tries some games the performance didn't seem to change from the 280x to the 290x.... Any ideas as to why this is? i have reinstalled the graphics driver but that didn't help... Specs; Windows 8.1 pro 8 Gb 1600 Mhz 128 Gb SSD i5 4440 3.3 Ghz 290x 8GB Asus b85-pro gamer Any help is appreciated!
  12. thanks for all the replies, i did a fresh install and still the pc was slow, took up the taskmanager and found my hdd was using 100% so i installed windows on a diffrent drive and voila! But thanks for the info now i atleast know more about processor upgrades and whatnot! greatly appreciated!
  13. i recently got a job so naturally i bought some new pc parts with my first pay, i used to run with a 280x and and i3 2100 and i have just recently noticed slowdowns in games compared to last years games, so i thought i would upgrade my motherboard and processor to just refresh the pc, i went with a asus b85 and a i5 4440 nothing fancy just an upgrade, but when i started up my system the fps in games is way lower than on my i3... anyone have any ideá whats going on? i thought the processor would be a bottleneck but with a better processor the fps is lower... any help is greatly appreciated! 14. Vessel Name: Tandemclown Favorite video Nr 1 : https://www.vessel.com/videos/G-DUjgUyY (because i like 21:9 monitors) Favorite video Nr 2: https://www.vessel.com/videos/JemZ8O7Hy (because i like overkill builds) I noticed that the quality is pretty noticeable worse than youtube on vessel, and when you have slow internet as i do it's kind of important with good streaming possibility, really excited though for you guys so you can make som extra money for your future project! (not sarcastic)
