  1. Sorry for the incredibly late answer @BetterCallRaul - I had to RMA, got the card back as NTF. I then contacted Pegatron Sapphire (directly) and provided them extensive information and my own testing reports, including video, etc. etc. and finally got a refurbished card back. The refurbished card's fans were not working (yes, all three of them), got tired of going back and forth with them, so I bought an RTX 3090 ... I then RMA'd the returned refurbished car yet again and sold it. Never buying from Sapphire again.. Honestly the whole thing kind of turned me off from buying AMD cards in general
  2. Due to the nature of my work I need to access my main Windows workstation at home (in a different country within EU) from my MacBook M1 for lighter "task-based" tasks (not streaming video and such). I will be accessing my machine for prolonged periods of time (multiple hours at a time). Any good recommendations?
  3. I'd skip the multiple hundreds of dollars in fans and invest it into an SSD instead of saving money and then getting an HDD... first thing that comes to mind to be honest @Ketamine_Dealer
  4. Does it have to be attached to your headphones @Lotus? If not, just go with a standard XLR mic paired with a relatively cheap audio interface that can also power your headphones (it's essentially an amp & DAC) and you're good. Or you could go with a nice USB mic.
  5. Hi all. I really did't know where to ask this question, so I decided to try my luck out here. I would like to inquire about the possibility of renting an apartment in Czech Republic. My colleague and I are both currently living, studying and working at home (in Slovenia), but are going to be spending a semester (approximately 6 months) at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, starting at the end of September, in order to finish our Master’s degree in microbiology. Due to both of us being extremely quiet, studious and also working (online), we are therefore in search of a quiet and stable environment, which is why parties in college dorms currently do not interest us in the slightest. As a result of the above mentioned status, our financial situation also allows the possibility for rent payment in advance, so that really isn't an issue. The only issue that I have come across is that we are of course looking to rent an apartment for only 6 months, which I think is the main roadblock trying to rent an apartment via agencies. I have had luck renting apartments in my home country for a shorter period, but that's because I have more resources at my disposal (I knew about FB groups, forums, etc.) I also realise that 6 months is extremely inconvenient for all parties involved, but I also do know it can absolutely be done and is done on a regular basis by people, specifically foreigners. So this is why I'd like to ask if you guys know of any good FB groups or websites or anything really that could help me find an apartment for rent in Czech Republic, specifically in České Budějovice? You have no idea how much I'd appreciate your help! Thanks again, Gal
  6. I can see where you're coming from @Motifator. The thing is, I have found so much usage from an air compressor as I am able to do many other things around the house. So, while an air compressor is overkill for blowing out dusty PC's, I have PERSONALLY found it extremely versatile and financially less wasteful. I do live and the house though, so noise, storage and ease of use (air compressors can be quite heavy) aren't problematic factors.
  7. Sorry for the late reply. I have been away and didn't have much time. Here is my final verdict, which I shall also mark as the solution to my own question: Anyways, I decided to buy a normal 25L oil lubricated piston air compressor for around $120. I could not be happier with it! I did a lot of research about oilless air compressors and in-spite of the fact the technology has moved quite a long way ahead, people still seem to be complaining about the lack of long-term reliability of oilless air compressors. CONS about air compressors: Water condensation is a potential issue in BOTH designs - whether the compressor is oil lubricated or oilless doesn't make a difference in the amount of water condensation, as that is the direct result of the environment you're working in as well as the inherent nature of the physical process' taking place during air compression (and rapid expansion). The only problem with classic oil lubricated air compressors is that some oil vapour may also enter the main tank and thus get discharged through your e.g. blow gun. You need to maintain your air compressor by: performing service such as cheap oil changes and regularly draining your tank (after every use or at least one a week) to prevent corrosion due to moisture build-up. There are different types of air compressors to choose from. You can buy a normal oil lubricated piston air compressor, which is very loud, or a slightly quieter belt-driven air compressor. There are also EXTREMELY quiet rotary screw air compressors and others - do your own research! SOLUTIONS: To combat moisture and oil discharge you can use a cheap ($10) oil-water separator (there are also more professional options available), which is essentially just a little filter that traps most water, oil and other (solid) particles from exiting out of your blow gun, meaning it's going to most likely be completely safe to use with blowing out your PC - this is the case in my situation as I have NEVER noticed any water, oil or dust exiting my blowgun (and yes, I have tested this). Here you can see a cheap oil-water separator and the amount of moisture build-up after about 1 hr of usage PROS: Cheap. Cheerful. Output air pressure CAN easily be regulated, so no need to worry about damaging your components. EXTREMELY versatile. Can be used to blow up car tyres, with air tools, etc. You can really do a LOT of handy-work with air compressors. Great investment. Will most likely last you a long time (10 + years). etc. TLDR: DataVac's are WAAAY too expensive for their lack of versatility. You can do a lot more with air compressors. Get an air compressor.
  8. @LeLoT3-NL Even though I use different hardware I too have made two posts in reference to these issues, so I advise you to check them out here, where I have just posted a solution: Let me know if it helps!
  9. Sorry for reviving such an old thread but I am ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that this is going to help someone! In short what worked for me was DISABLING the ASUS plugin in Corsair iCUE. Even though it was my understanding it needs to be enabled you actually need to DISABLE it completely. This really sucks as I came across this solution by chance, since I have not seen many helpfull forum posts discussing compatibility issues with different RGB software.. PROCESS: disable ASUS plugin in Corsair iCUE software (untick the plugin toggle switch) the (ASUS) motherboard section in Corsair iCue should then disappear, so that you can no longer control your motherboard with iCue - that will be left to ASUS Armoury Crate restart your computer reset all of the settings in ASUS Armoury Crate & Corsair iCUE back to their defaults restart again now you should be able to reapply all of your effect in BOTH ASUS Armoury Crate (RAM lighting) AND Corsair iCUE restart again and check for flickering/incompatibility.
  10. Looks awesome @Needfuldoer, I'll have a look if I can find something similar in my area! Thanks for the info @KTown. That Datavac ESD 2 speed looks awesome but is waaay over my budget for now. People keep recommending the "standard $100 Datavac unit" Exactly what I was thinking yeah, @Kisai! Do you use this @Mark Kaine? And does anyone know how it would compare to the Datavac? Prices are.. somewhat similar, but I keep seeing a LOT of Datavac recommendations..
  11. That's awesome news @Montana One-Six! I'll take a look at some "standard" compressors as well then!
  12. I am assuming both of you @Needfuldoer and @Montana One-Six use an oil-less air compressor? I was thinking about getting an air compressor too, so that I could use it in other applications as well.. @Kisai I live in a very old building (like a lot of people in Europe), so there's no fancy air ventilation/filtration systems installed. Not even AC. Whenever I need fresh air I just open the windows. I also have my PC on my desk, but I have it in my bedroom which is also an office. I have a HUGE dust problem. And I mean H U G E. I will start cleaning out the apartment's entire floor making sure that I am not "cross contaminating" the already cleaned areas with dusty items (you know what I mean - I basically dust/clean dusty items elsewhere and then transfer them back into my previously cleaned room where they are cleaned once again, just in case). And after 3 to 4 days I can run my finger across the table and it will be very dusty. I probably use one can of air per month as my computer and other electronic components get extremely dusty - like so dusty that if I left them uncleaned the dust will get permanently stuck to certain surfaces inside the computer, such as hard to get areas, fan blades, etc. I am assuming that's due to old building design and also because I sleep, work, change clothes, etc. in the same room.
  13. Hey @Mel0nMan & @wONKEyeYEs, I've been hearing about this one across multiple forums. But yeah @Mel0nMan & @Stormseeker9, that's what I was thinking as well.. And looks like @Caroline has got the same idea.. The thing is, for a little bit more or maybe even the same amount I'd assume I could get a more "hefty, multi-purpose" duster/compressor, or am I mistaken? Also, from what I've read those DataVac dusters used to be waaay cheaper, but got incredibly hyped up, so I am really unsure if they are actually worth the price..?
  14. Getting tired of buying canned air, which for me living in Slovenia (EU) is for some reason VERY expensive (from 5-10 EUR per can) and also ALWAYS out of stock. Also read somewhere that bursting canned air for too long, thus freezing it, can cause damage? Is this true? Then again, some air compressors spit oil, so I guess going with an oil-less version would be preferential.. What do you guys use to dust and clean your PC's? - would appreciate a few suggestions on a marketplace such as https://www.amazon.de/
  15. Looks like this might be it @191x7!! It just sucks I am going to have to deal with an RMA now
  16. Hey @RMTM Time and date were correct. Tried loading optimised defaults with CSM either enabled or disabled - did not make any difference. I even updated the X570 Strix-E BIOS and tried with both CSM enabled and disabled - no difference. Did not help LIke mentioned above I even used DDU - did not help None of your suggestions helped unfortunately...

  18. Hi, BACKGROUND INFORMATION: my computer has been functioning flawlessly for the past couple of months. I did not install any new programs or performed any hardware changes in the last 3 months. I didn't even update the GPU drivers, as they were working flawlessly. Basically, there were no changes made to my system overall in the past 3 months - just business as usual. the device status is showing either "Code 22" or "Code 31" (as seen in the pictures attached bellow) WHAT HAPPENED? I was playing a game and noticed my monitor went to sleep, as it reported it had stopped receiving a signal. I then restarted the computer and noticed that my display adapter (AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT) got disconnected/disabled for some reason. this then happened a few times after had I re-enabled it and also updated the GPU drivers to the newest version. I also ran DDU in safemode and freshly reinstalled the GPU drivers, however my system crashed yet again. I should mention that the GPU doesn't get disconnected only during gaming, it happens also during just idling on the desktop doing nothing. A FEW PICTURES THAT MIGHT HELP: Any ideas about what's going on??? Thanks in advance!
  19. Something like this happened to me a while back.. turned out the 8 PIN CPU connector was starting to somehow unplug.. Check the cables? Just a thought for now....
  20. Glad you got the issue sorted @Okutida! Wishing you all the best!
  21. Which headphones were a waste of money to you @RasmusDC?
  22. Here @Herobrine_dude, this might help. (it's not that outdated)
  23. I'll attach this from https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?98240-AURA-Sync-software-corrupting-SPD-on-Aura-Sync-Certified-DRAM-Sticks Not sure how Kingston handles their RAM, but this is (or was) the issue with ASUS and G.Skill...
  24. Not sure if this is going to help anyone out here, but during my process of syncing up my RGB I too have noticed my RAM (G.Skill) effects glitching out. Read a couple of forums in reference to the issue and a LOT of them (forum users and owners of G.Skill RAM coupled with their RGB software) talked about the actual G.Skill RGB software corrupting RAM SPD settings.. Users were then forced to re-flash using Thaiphoon Burner.. I checked my SPD settings using Thaiphoon Burner and they looked okay. Have you tried that as well @NoreCam?
  25. Going to leave a longer answer to other members of this forum but you could theoretically dial in any setting you wish without damage to your CPU and MOBO. Most modern board, even low-end ones have protection against certain settings, so damage would be HIGHLY unlikely @rippy4500
