I have
Specs:
Z390-F Strix motherboardi5-8600K
TridentZ 8gb x2 RGB ram
NZXT H510 case
H510 has only two ports USB Type C and USB Type A, when i plug USB Type A, the windows does recognize usb was plugged in but files are not accessible and doesn't work properly, if i put in wifi dongle also there , wifi is connected but internet never works, i had Z370-F also it had same issues with that. What could be the issue? Hardware or software?

Defective usb port happens. unplug and replug to the motherboard. if still defective try another usb port on the board. you can also get a quick look a the usb cable on the inside of the case on the port end, if the cable is too bent it cause damage (happend to me). i pushed my front top fan up too much and damaged the usb cable by bending it
Case is almost new, i don't find out if that could be the issue and H510 has only 1 USB type A port and 1 Type C port, haven't tested type C but A port is not working fine.

Off hand I’m guessing drivers or bad port connection. could be different things though depending on situation.
“Doesn’t work” isn’t very clear. Doesn’t work at all or doesn’t work correctly?it might be useful to know what case is involved if front port USB is an issue. Also what specific motherboards
Doesn't work correctly, the windows detects usb but files can't be opened and same goes for wifi, case is NZXT H510.

Hi,
My front panel USB port doesn't work correctly, it detects USB but doesn't work, files doesn't open same goes for WIFI, it detects wifi dongle but wifi doesn't work correctly. What could be the issue? I had Z370-F then i changed to Z390-F it still does this issue, let me know what should i do? Case is H510.Thanks

You're in the BIOS? It should be called something like "DRAM Timings Control". You dont have to touch that though, just manually enabling XMP or DOCP will do most of the work for you.
I went to DRAM Timings Control there was no option to set XMP or DOCP, what should i set to XMP? AI Clocker Tuner?
-
I actually don't know what timings to use etc for my TridentZ Rgb 16gb 3200MhZ.

Is this a manual overclock or are you applying an XMP or DOCP profile? Leaving voltages untouched can be a safe thing to do but leaving timings alone makes performance terrible. XMP automatically sets up voltage and timings for you to some degree.
Hello,
Mistakenly i wrote AI Clocker Tuner = Disabled whereas it is Manual currently. Let me know what to do, i have not done anything against timings.
Thanks!

Hi,
My ram is trident z rgb 3200 mhz, i only changed DRAM Frequency = 3200 Mhz in bios nothing else, other things i have changed are for processor overclock which are AI Clocker Tuner = Disabled etc for CPU overclock do i need to do any other setting for ram overclock or is it fine?
Thanks

Yes its a basic and straight forward overclock. Everything looks fine from my seat.
If you'd like additiinal performance, I might be able to help you.
Thankyou so much for offering help but if these are fine then i think it'd be alright.

welcome. Nice clocks by the way. My 8700K needs 1.360v at 5ghz (with OC cache) but that and the Hyper Threading forces me to use that much voltage. 5.2ghz is a good accomplishment on ambient cooling.
Thankyou sir. Just last question are my settings fine i mean the changes i made are fine? I was watching a youtube vid and that guy made loads of changes in bios settings. I only made these changes if you could relook the pics i have attached.

Prime95 inludes AVX instruction set. That is where the heat comes from and is a very useful tool, however not the tell all of stability as it should be worded imo.
OCCT is also very heavy.
90c is hot. As a member of the de-lidder's club, I can suggest to de-lid the cpu and replace the thermal paste. It will significantly lower your temps.
Thankyou!

Does it pass small FFT with a small increase in cpu v-core?
Hello, what do you mean by pass? i saw many people were not recommending prima95 it was also putting alot of stress and my processor was going all the way to 90+ temp thats why i chose aida for stress testing and stopped using prima, in aida temps were 70-75.

Looks good but I'm not an overclocking expert. If it's all stable, 1.22v is a safe voltage and you should be fine keeping your system at 4.8Ghz 1.22v
Thankyou!

Keep it at 4.8. 1.22v or 1.23v should both be fine but try 1.22v first and see if it's 100% stable
1.22 is absolutely stable, are settings fine? I just changed the one i pointed out others are default settings. I was watching a youtube vid for overclocking and they changed loads of settings. I did only these. Just wondering if i could go even lower than 1.22 would it cause any issues or not, also would you recommend that?
Thanks

It should be noted that Prima95 small fft test was going all the way to 90+ but AIDA seemed fine with 100% CPU usage.

Hello guys?
Is my overclock fine? This is my first time overclock, using Z370-F and 8600k
I have not changed any setting, everything is default except these
AI Clocker Tuner = Disabled
CPU Core Ratio = Sync All Cores
1-6 Core Ratio Limit = 48
DRAM Frequency = 3200 Mhz
BLCK Aware Adaptive Voltage = Disabled
CPU Core/Cache Voltage = Manual, Value = 1.230
Stress tested with AIDA for an hour and Temps were 70-75. All other settings are default except the ones i mentioned.
Kindly do let me know what changes should be made to settings (if any), temps are fine? My room temp is above 37 Celsius aswell.
I have tested my Processor with 5.2 ghz, 1.35 voltages and it was totally fine, but i am good with 4.8 ghz and 1.23 volt currently, let me know if i need to change voltage, it was running fine on 1.22 aswell, tell me if any changes should be made to bios settings or volts etc.
Thanks

Your best bet would be to contact NZXT for a replacement set. If you want to just run to the hardware store or ideally a fastener supply house you can use just a regular Hex nut with the same threading, it should be 6-32 thread for those. For something similar look for a thumb screw nut they will have a variety of them, as long as the thread is correct it will work.
For example:
Great idea, just wondering if one missing nut wouldn't cause any issue in cooling?

bump.. bump
Does anyone knows what nut/thumbscrew this is?? Kindly help out or give link to any store which have them
Thanks!!

Not of the top of my head. Or without knowing if you are on intel or amd.
Of course, if you bought it new, you should just be able to email NZXT support and ask for another nut.
Worst case scenario they make you pay a dollar or two for shipping.
Its intel, apologies for not telling it before. Yes i'll email them, in the meantime if anyone could tell me the name of nut would be alot helpful.
Changed motherboard but front USB port doesn't work correctly.
