    6800 is about 20% faster at 1440p than the 6700 xt. I wouldn't pay $209 for that.

I play at 1080 mostly bc the main game I play is unoptimized and 1080 is the lowest I'll go

You would be paying 350$ to lose performance

Thank u there's a 6800 for 409 is that worth it? Keep in mind I'm gonna sell my older gpu so for $200 so realistically it's only 209

  3. I'm using my s7+ 5G tablet for my display for my rog ally using superdisplay. But the only problem I'm having is that it'll display my ally but won't keep a charge so i'm looking for a hub that allows PD but also has usb c display pass-through that way I can still display onto my tablet but also still let it keep charging. Any suggestions??

  4. Idk if the rog ally clarifies as pc gaming. But I'm looking into get a dock for my ally and was looking for one that comes with cooling fans. What are some great suggestions?

  5. I need help whenever i use my buds pro 2 woth my pc i can't hear anything when I wear the earbud tips on. But when I put my buds live I can them perfectly and can still hear when I wear my skull candy headphones. So it's not my hearing that's the issue. Is there any solution I can do?

The second PCIe x16 is from chipset and it’s PCIe 3.0 x4

you can use cheap 5$ PCIe x4 to M.2 adapter and run one M.2 NVMe ssd from it. (without using expensive 200-400$ PCIe switches ).

    4 x 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD ??? Why?
just buy a good 4TB one.

What would be a good 4tb nvme ssd then

  7. i got a msi b550 tomahawk max and was looking at using its bifurcation. i was planning on getting a 4 SABRENT 1TB Rocket Nvme PCIe with a PCIe adapter card, the asus hyper m.2 expansion card to be exact. would my motherboard support that configuration? i am running a 5800X3D btw.

Yupp, as I suspected. See that "Healthy (recovery partition)" that's your recovery that was created when you installed windows on your SSD. so you can, if you want, just delete the other partitions you have on the other drives.

okay im also doing a full copy of my os onto a backup hard drive so ill have all my files for when i do a fresh OS

okay, somehow I completely missed the photo in your post...

that E: drive, as you do, I'd assume is your recovery drive. The only reason that would be on a separate drive other than your OS drive is if you have your OS installed on the drive prior. in which case Windows doesn't actually know that recovery drive exists for it's intended purpose. either that or the E: drive is actually a partition on your SSD already.

If you can open up Disk Management and see what all partitions you have and maybe post a picture of that here.

are you talking about the "recovery" drive/partition? if so then no. The partition is created when installing the OS. If you're just talking about a backup then it should just be a regular files that you can move anywhere.

so i would have to do a new install of my OS? which im fine with if can make it so my ssd is the recovery drive instead of 7yr old hhd

  11. Screenshot2023-09-25030522.thumb.png.5f1611b36e2a0412e003a962de79a6a2.pngim trying to move my recovery onto a different storage device. but idk how to do it. is there an easy way to do it?

if drive that has the black box around is unplugged the nvme SSD i have as my bootdrive completely dissappears and the pc acts like it wasnt there but if i plug it in it magically reappears if that makes sense.

  12. So i have an xbox 1 x and have been playing cyberpunk 2077 and i wont include any spoilers but, why is it lagging? It should be able to play perfectly fine on the xbox 1 x, its more powerful than the orginal xbox 1, Xbox 1 S, ps4 and ps4 pro. Have there been any updates on when the day one patch will be coming out?

I was not aware this teardown existed.

Thank you, dear sir.  You won the internet award for the day.

Now the only question is is there a way to actually open the complete dpad unit...

I thought ifixit just made that Manta kit.  I had no idea they were like a huge repository of information.

the thing i have look out for is not to mess up the mod chip inside of it or there goes $150 and a controller ive had since the xbox 1 first came out

    The dpad issue is annoying.

While it feels like a newer Nintendo style controller (clicky), there is some sort of capacitive layer that the + pad pushes on, that you don't have access to, as it's under a membrane layer.  If applying a small piece of tape helps, which I assume increases the contact pressure, that's all you can do, besides applying Deoxit D5 to the surface.

The real issue happens if you apply high pressure and it causes the pad to stop registering, and it registers when you apply very low pressure.  That might be impossible to fix if disassembly and cleaning and a Deoxit bath doesn't already help.

cant i just take out a working dpad outta my spare xbox controllers and replace it with that? This controller cost me over $150 and it can do the same exact thing as a xbox elite controller besides switching the analog caps.
