  1. I have gotten the same thing on my laptop. Are you using a HDD? When I was using my laptop with a HDD it did that time to time until I upgraded to an SSD. Mind you I leave it on all the time and I have never gotten any issues from upgrading my setup to a PC. The only thing (other than hardware (GPU & CPU)) that changes was going from a HDD to a SSD. Please provide more information about your specs and how you use your PC.
  2. Just send me the settings you have used when you have the time. Do you know of any reason why mine is running so hot? I have also seen people getting 22k in Cinebench R23 and the highest I've been able to get was 20k.
  3. Can you share your settings in the bios and benchmarks and such?
  4. I changed the customized pbo scalier and pbo scalier to 1x.
  5. It may, but the method to my madness is to have as much fresh air as possible coming in and having positive pressure. the rest of the positive pressure can escape out of the PCI Express slots and such.
  6. As it turns out I wasn't doing stock. Mounting and thermal paste are good. Cinebench R23. I have 4120mm fans 3 intakes (2 on the front 1 on the top with the filter on), and 1 exhaust.
  7. So after a lot of tweaking and changing settings I have resorted to leaving my findings here. I have power plan set to ultimate performance in Windows. My specs are . . . https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4NbBhk I have my case fans setup as 3 intakes and one exhaust in the back. I have done 2 applications and mounts on my cooler and I have the mounting hardware and cooler screws tight. I don't have them death grip but they are snug plus a little more. I am using Noctua thermal paste applied using the spread method and a decent layer across the entire chip. I am aiming for maximum performance possible with as much optimizations as I can for cool temps. If some sacrifice is to be made on performance for a big jump in efficiency then I'm all for that. I just don't want to leave untapped performance on the table. I am fine if it is not at the bleeding edge as theirs negative effects. I also want it to be stable too. I know that all of these wants have conflicts, but I want to get the best I can all around. I am fully open to suggestions and am wanting to learn. What should I do? 1152576381_2022-07-1715-51-04.mkv I have noticed with the scaler at 1x rather then 10x I get better performance at lower temps. I don't know if i should leave it at 1 or 10 when it is supposed to give better performance at 10, but I don't have that thermal headroom.
  8. I have gotten a Ryzen 9 5900x recently and I have bought the Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 thinking it was going to be plenty to keep my CPU cool. I was unfortunately wrong. With PBO enabled, -10 offset on the curve,, every fan at 100% and running tests I instantly hit 90c. I currently have it set to stock speeds and not to go any higher until I get me a better cooler. I am looking for a good cooler that offers great performance before I look at looks of it. I want a cooler where I have plenty of headroom for PBO boosting it to its max and more headroom where I don't have to worry about temps being an issue. I have heard mixed stories of others saying that this cooler is beyond good for it and others saying the same cooler causes thermal throttling. If possible I would like some real world examples of the cooler in action. I don't want to be a test dummy with coolers to see which one performs the best.
  9. I am a new to swapping hardware on the same Windows install and I have a few questions about how smoothly it would go. I am switching all of these parts at once. I am going from Intel to AMD, swapping GPU, and swapping my mobo. My question is will the intel chipset drivers uninstall automatically through Windows updates and will AMD's automatically install in replace of that? Also, will Nvidia's GPU drivers be seamless from swapping GPU's? I want to keep the same Windows install and have as little headache as possible while knowing what to expect. I will of course update the bios before booting into Windows.
  10. Yes I live in the states but I was wondering if you can do a video of water cooling a TV box/cable box. More specifically the Dish Hopper 3 or anyone because those things get freekin hot and they are as loud as a server sometimes with the dainty little fans inside. I looked throughout all of YouTube and no one has documented such thing on this concept. I hope someone will do such a thing. I think it'll be fun and a major performance boost. Also further mentioning it would very awesome if you ripped out the hdd and replaced it with a ssd because those things are slow. If no one gets around to doing this I personally respect that because business is business and you don't have time for every suggestion. 11. Will the monitor and the 2060 super get the full refresh rate and res over HDMI?
  12. https://pc-builds.com/calculator/Core_i7-9700K/GeForce_GTX_1080_Ti/0RN0XFlu/16/
  13. How much ram are you using and are you overclocking?
  14. If I were you I would go with 4k because you are looking at fine print documents and the extra 15Hz won't do much unless your are gaming, or you need higher refresh rates over sharpness. For the second question are you saying what has to be on the monitor for i/o or the dock? Their is a minor difference between DisplayPort vs. HDMI. Here is a link for more details. The p72 and p73 have HDMI 2.0 so you can use those two at 4k 60Hz but no more but the p71 is questionable if you can run those specs. Please note that 4k will cost more than 1080p.
  15. All the games should be their if not change the drive letter to the drive letter it is.
