  1. I am trying hard to get 25 mil. Currently at 12mil and in the top 26,000! go 1070ti go!
  2. Second this, My system ran great for a long time until I started folding 24/7. Whole new overclocks/AVX settings on CPU/GPU/memory to fold all day every day for a week/ multiple weeks.
  3. I actually added that to my GPU, however my WU scores went from averaging 113 to averaging 70K
  4. I will give it a shot. It's not like I have any other use for it while I am at work.
  5. I am trying to not take this personal, but F@H is giving my 8700K the worse WU as my 10 year old 1090T used to get. I can't break 10K on a WU, and pull a lot of 2K units.
  6. Am I the only one seeing that the FAH userstats has been frozen for a few days, and that extreme overclocking stats hasn't updated since about 7-10 hours ago? I have logs telling my work was completed but no update to WU on overclock since this AM.
  7. It seems like at the moment that unless you have 24-36 cores, it is really not rewarding to use a CPU as you get roughly an order of magnitude less points using a CPU as you do using a GPU. Overclocking is trying to slightly boost scores on something that is diminishing results already to me is probably a no. My 8700K on average produces 5000-6000 points an hour (Overclocked to 5GHz), heats up the room, and slows down the GPU. My older 1070TI produces 56500 points an hour and I can easily use other programs while it runs. That makes me question if it's worth doing often. Zen2 units have posted showing as many PPH as my 1070ti, and any GPU that is 20XX tends to produce far better than my 1070. I have also found out that what I had tested and operated as a stable overclock for months was not stable on for FAH. At one point I folded for for 2 days only to have my system crash while at work and miss out on 5+ hours of folding loosing out on about 300K points for the possibility of an extra 25K points. You can see that it doesn't add up for me, your results may vary.
  8. I will update if this is the issue so that other can learn from my issues. ************************************ Update: It was the fact that I was locking my computer screen that was allowing windows to kick the system into sleep mode. If you google changing the registry for "system unattended sleep time out" that might work as well and allow you to have some security to keep your cat/dog/kid/significant other from accidentally messing with your computer while you are away. *************************************
  9. I am not signing out, but I am used to locking the screen from work every time I walk away. Something I read pointed to a registry entry I could edit to change "system unattended sleep time out". To test this I will not lock the screen and see if it has the same issue tonight while i take a long sleep.
  10. I actually bought a box of cat 6 to do just this, but it ends up that the drop is just outside the unfinished basement so I would have to venture to the end of the spider King's domain (crawlspace) which is more than I want to do for a rental that I will have to rip it back out in a few months (hopefully!) anyways. More research today suggested that perhaps locking the screen puts windows int a different sleep state (nonuser) than letting windows go into screen saver mode (user). I will nto lock it tonight and see if it works.
  11. I have been fighting this for three days now and would like some help. Basically when my I lock the screen and walk away my computer (desktop) goes idle it looses the network connection and I have to manually reconnect. This happens somewhere between 4 and 8 hours of idle. if I come home for lunch, it is fine. When I wake up in the morning it is off and waiting to upload. What I have done: -Googled for answers -installed the newest drivers from asus -power and sleep settings are set to high performance -network adapter (under configure/power management) and unchecked " allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" for LAN and wifi -Forgot the network and re-connected -I have don't have a wifi sense under my wifi settings to disable -Wlan auto config under services.msc is already set to auto -Under power settings my sleep settings are: sleep after: never, hybrid:off, Hibernate:Never, allow wake timers:enable Wifi is built into asus maximus X code mobo. This is really bothering me and killing mt PPD. Am I an idiot who is missing something obvious? ************************************ Update: It was in fact that I was locking my computer screen that was allowing windows to kick the system into sleep mode. 12. If you have PWM fans, be sure your fan controller is agreeing with core temps. I have an Asus mobo, and MW monitor/ MSI say my cores are at 70C while the asus fan controller sees 50-60C. I just adjusted the controller so that I am at 100% fan speed by the time I hit about 65C core (45-47asus monitoring).
  13. Not sure since you are using the web (not advanced) viewer, but the base points make a huge difference as well. My CPU scores can vary from 2000 to 20000 for roughly the same time frame.
  14. I just had a run in with this server, it gave me a whopping 1000.00 (base) points on a 8500 point project. Nice.
  15. Can recommend. quirky but beautiful and fun game. Well worth the time to play.
