  1. Hi all, Hope you are well. My brain hurts. My 3 kids have the same PCs, the same Ryzen 5 1600 CPU, the only difference is the motherboard. 1 has a Gigabyte B450M DS3H-CF 1 has a ASUS Prime B450M-K II - brought recently for upgrade from LGA1155 setup to AMD (as I has the CPU spare). 1 has a ASUS Prime B450M-A II Apparently Windows 11 does not support the 1600 CPU on the PCs, yet has installed (via update) on the ASUS B450-K II. Yet the other motherboards say they are ok and its just the CPU that is not supported. So why has it installed on one. I know it must be to do with the motherboard, just not sure what. Any ideas?
  2. Brilliant thanks. What is OBS like with the AMD GPU? Are the AMD drivers ok, as I have heard there are some issues?
  3. Thanks. So a computer of 5600x, 3050 and 16GB RAM will be able to stream and game at the same time ok?
  4. HI all, I am building two computers for my OH and I. I will be getting a 5600x CPUs, but deciding on either a 6600xt or a RTX3050 for gaming and streaming. I know a 3060 would be better, but looking at around £250 each for the GPUs. I was decided on the 6600xt but concerned about the driver issues people have been having and the NVENC for streaming. Any thoughts? Thanks
  5. Hi both, thanks for your replies. Yeah we are trying to capture both of our voices in our streams plus our kids voices who sit next to us. We currently have a USB mic that I brought a while ago. I was concerned that 2 mics close to each other might cause interference or weird echos/voice loop?
  6. We will be playing the games with the kids, so it doesn't matter if they are heard over the mics?
  7. Would we get any echo though? Sorry forgot to mention we are playing on a converted dining room table our kids will be joining us as well. So I have put the mic in the middle at the moment. But would a mic for each of us be better though?
  8. Hi all, Hope you are well. My wife and I are going to start streaming, and we have 1 microphone inbetween us, but we will be streaming to our own channels. We can't go to separate rooms, so could I get a 1 female to 2 male splitter and connect it to both of ours. Or would something like voicemeteer be better with it connected to just one of our PCs? Thanks
  9. Hello, We are a family of 5 and 4 of us want to start gaming and streaming. We have limited money, but each have Ryzen 5 1600 with GTX 970 GPUs and 16GB RAM. These were built on a budget. What would be the minimum spec we would need to be able to game (mainly Fortnite, Apex Legends, Fifa 22) and stream, I know it would be around 720p, on the same PC, using these specs as a base? Any guidance would be appreciated. Theldron
  10. Thanks both for the replies I love the look of the Shield I just can't afford it at the moment. I think a Roku is the best option don't really use it for YouTube and sell off the bits from the PC and use that.
  11. Hi all, I am stuck, I have a HTPC that I built around 5 years ago. It has a AMD Athlon 5350 APU, 8GB RAM, 32GB SSD, AMD Radeon R5 240. I have been using it on and off since, but have recently moved into a new house, and we have setup a cinema room in the garage with a 3D tv. Apart from having the issue of not being able to get any sound from the PC whilst watching San Andreas, it does seem to be creaking a little, so I was wondering if a HTPC is worth it any more and would it be worth selling the bits for what I can and just buy like a Roku Premier box or similar instead? I have all my media on an Unraid server, and I play the films through Plex, Emby or Jellyfish. I did have Kodi setup on the PC, with Libreelec. Any advice would be appreciated.
  12. Hey all, Hope you are well. I am looking to upgrade my i7-2600 Unraid server to a AMD Ryzen 5 1600 AF, motherboard (of course) the whole lot. Are there any gotcha's I need to watch out for when switching to the AMD from the Intel, any settings in the BIOS etc? Thanks.
  13. Did that come with the PC? I would definitely think about replacing that and get a reputable PSU from EVGA, Corsair, Seasonic or similar and use something like PCPartpicker or a PSU calculator to make sure that you get a suitable wattage as well.
  14. What is your OS on? Is it connected ok? Have you SMART checked it?
  15. Hi, this sounds like a power supply issue. Which one have you got?
